Ardent Personal Transport
Neotian Corporate Industries is proud to present to you a revived classic, the Ardent Personal Transport, now available for purchase in both the intergalactic naval market and intergalactic civilian market!

Product Description
The Ardent Personal Transport is a revival of the NCI's first officially licensed starship. Nicknamed Project Eccentricity, this civilian starship made its debut to the public in the latter portion of 2115, just over a year after the company was founded at the beginning of 2114. While the ship only sold ~150 units, the ship made enough of a mark to get the our (then) small company off the ground and helped us fund more lucrative projects and contracts. Now, just over 150 years later, we're coming back to the ship that started it all, and we'd like to take you along for the ride.

The Ardent Personal Transport is (as the name suggests) a small personal transport that has a little of something for everyone. From weapons to speed to cargo to its classic NCI charm, any kind of pilot can find themselves comfortable and ready to go in the seat of an Ardent.

The Ardent is a complete overhaul of the original Eccentricity design. The original supporting nacelles have been replaced will fully-realized engine pods that house the majority of the ship's thrust packs and are each equipped with their own fuel tanks. The weapon hardpoints have been moved from the upper nacelles of the original ship to the bow, where the fire is more centralized relative to the pilot. Additionally, the Ardent's hardpoints are multi-purpose, allowing for the ship's standard armaments to be swapped for other compatible weapon/equipment mounts. The entryway onto the ship has also been redesigned, replacing the inset stairs and standard door with a retractable ramp, allowing for easier boarding and departure from the craft. The ship also has a one-of-a-kind gravity generator installed, making it possible for traditional movement in the cabin while in a low or zero-g environment.

Control Schemes
Ctrl+1 Menu:
  • 1 - Gatling Cannons
  • 2 - Rocket Pods
  • 4 - Landing Sequence (lowers pistons, raises weapon mounts, deactivates weapons)
  • 6 - Hydrogen Engines (on/off toggle)
Ctrl+2 Menu:
  • 1 - Port Boarding Ramp (reverse)
  • 2 - Starboard Boarding Ramp (reverse)
  • 4 - Ramp Lock (locks both ramps; best used when flying long distances)

Ctrl+3 Menu:
  • 1 - Connector Camera (docking assistant)
  • 2 - Connector (lock/unlock toggle)
  • 4 - Emergency Parachutes (open/close toggle)

Backup hydrogen engines are also available on the ship, but they are not bound by default to a menu. They can be accessed through the terminal or bound to a menu via the toolbar config.

Builder's Note
Now that all that other stuff is out of the way, I'd like to take a quick moment of your time to address a couple things about this ship. To start, and as previously stated, this is a recreation/overhaul of the first ship I ever published to the Space Engineers Workshop. Unfortunately, for some moronic reason, I decided to delete the ship from the Workshop, leaving one screenshot as the only proof it ever existed. Interestingly enough, that same screenshot is also my oldest screenshot on Steam.

Secondly, I want to address the design of the ship. The original Eccentricity was heavily inspired by the Aurora lineup of ships from Star Citizen (specifically the Aurora MR), and in order to do a proper recreation, the Ardent had to follow those same design principles. I figured it'd be best to state that fact openly so it's understandable why the ship looks so similar to the Aurora MR.

Thanks for stopping by. Comments and feedback are much appreciated. Thank you!

I have taken screenshots, when it is spawned in a section of the conveyors is missing so the thrusters are without fuel. I will send them when you are on.

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I'm unable to locate the problem you stated in the engine nacelles regarding missing small conveyors (as far as I can tell, they're all connected properly). If you continue to have a problem with the ship, add me over Steam.

You are missing small conveyors in the 4 thruster pods stopping a good portion of the propulsion
