Sushi Go Party [Scripted w/menus (tile sets) from instructions. Mats w/o snap points.]

Description
This is TehCupcakes version with Captain Terror's mats included (but with snap points removed so cards don't stack) with sloppy code added to cycle through the menus in the instruction manual Instead of setting up random boards that are appropriate for the number of players in the game (what the original TehCupcakes version does, which is pretty cool actually).

You have to click "Cleanup Game" to reset the "Choose Tiles" button before it will setup the next menu. So to setup the "Sushi Go!" menu from the instruction manual, click "Choose Tiles" then "Cleanup Game" then "Choose Tiles". It will cycle through the 8 decks in the instruction manual.

To do a custom deck, just manually set up the board.

Once tiles are placed and you have the menu you want, Click "Make Deck", "Add Desserts", "Shuffle/Deal"... and play.

Use the "Rotate Hands" button to swap hands.

After each round do "Cleanup Round", "Add Desserts", "Shuffle/Deal"... and play.

See TehCupcakes' version for more notes, as mine is just his / hers with the menus / tiles handled differently.

Also please drop a like (or dislike). We've currently got 12 likes and a dislike. It'd be really cool to see some of those gold stars under the thumbnail on the workshop page!

Check out the first comment at the bottom of this comments section, too. It's a really good list and saves so much time otherwise spent sifting through multiple workshops of the same games to find the good ones.

Cheers!

I just noticed this comment from clarkewithe on the tehcupcakes workshop:
"There's a bug in the rotate hands feature that will recognize blank spots at the table as belonging to a player. To overcome it you need to sit with a player at white and all of the other players immediately to the left of them. Also to overcome the bug where all pawns appear red for everyone but the white player you can replace the pawns with the stock ones (Objects -> Components -> Player Pawns)"

Hope that helps, guys!

I think that issue pops up if you have players in seats like 1-3 or 7-1, or other corner seats like it. When the cards are doing the passing animation and passes through another player's Hand Zone, weird stuff happens.

I've also had issues before where desserts were not being removed by Cleanup Game, and then the next game would have multiple desserts, but I'm not sure if that's an older version of the script.

I would like to suggest adding a pass counterclockwise button as an option for round 2. Even though it isn't in the base rules, the people I play with feel it's fairer to follow what most other drafting games go by. I've been making do by using these tools to pass (which afaik also bypasses the first issue I mentioned), but not having a hand pass animation is kinda confusing for people too, which is not optimal.

I'll read through the script too and see if I can figure it out.

I suspect it might have something to do with sitting in certain seats/colors.

^Thanks, appreciate you looking into it. This implementation is great so would love to be able to get it working! If it helps, I notice similar recent comments about the hand rotation from the original mods you built this off of...

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't had the issue. But I'll get some friends to sit in a game with me and see if I can break it so I can see what's wrong with it.

The implementation seems great but unfortunately, the hand rotation seems completely broken. Tried playing this a week and a half ago with four people and we were barely able to kind of work with it for a game - the hand rotator would occasionally glitch and either put two of the four hands of cards on the table (that the people had to keep grabbing themselves) or would occasionally put an extra card in someone's hand.

Then we tried it again this past Sunday and we had to keep restarting our game because of hand rotator glitches. Sometimes the hand rotator put the cards on the table, sometimes it put two hands of cards into one person's hand, etc. It got to the point where it was literally just not playable and we ended up playing Splendor instead.

Unfortunate because the game is great and the idea of hand rotation and ability to set up all the various menus is fantastic. Hope someone comes up with a fix...
