Description

Play as Zangief the russian pro wrestler known from Street Fighter.

Special Mechanics

Just like in SSF2T Zangief has a super meter that can be filled by hitting the opponent or by using special moves.
You can also generate meter by taunting.

If your super meter is full, you can activate one of your super moves. If you do this, your super meter will be reset back to zero. This happens even if you miss your attack!

You will lose half of your current super meter if you die, so be careful!

Attack + Special

Final Atomic Buster

This hardhitting commandgrab can only be performed on the ground! If you hit your enemy he will definitely regret it. Deals a lot of damage and knockback, but you can not combo into it.

Down + Attack + Special

Interception

This anti air command grab can be performed both in the air and on the ground. When you activate it Zangief will jump high into the air and try to grab your opponent. If you hit, you have to possible ways to continue.

Press Special to throw your opponent diagonally down away from you. Use this to KO your opponent offstage.
Press nothing until you hit the ground and burry your enemy beneath you. This will stun him depending on how much damage he already has and allow for followups.

Spinning Piledriver

Zangiefs signature attack, also known as SPD. Grabs your opponent and drives them into the ground. You can control your fallspeed by either pressing up or down. Your enemy can tech the final hit, so mix up your landing timing.

Forward + Special

Bannishing Flat

Zangief surrounds his hand with green energy and moves forward while attacking. Can be used to mix-up your recovery.

Down + Special

Iron Muscle Counter

Zangief taunts his enemy while having super armor. If an enemy hits you, you only get half damage and generate extra super meter for beeing hit. The retaliation attacks strength depends on the attackers attack.

Up + Special

Double Lariat

Zangief spins while extending his arms. In the air can be used to fly upwards and recover. Has a better hitbox while on the ground. This attack is immune against projectile attacks.

Strong Attacks

Forward + Strong

Zangief delivers a slow but strong punch. Has a sweetspot on his fist.

Down + Strong

Zangief tries to flip the opponent over his head. If this move hits, it throws the opponent behind Zangiefs back.

Up + Strong

Zangief uses a chair to deliver an upwards reaching blow against his opponent.

An air jab. Has a late hitting spike on Zangiefs hand.

Air + Down + Attack

A small divekick. Has a late hitting spike.

Air + Up + Attack

Zangief uses his chair to attack an opponent above his head. Has a large disjointed hitbox.

Other mechanics

Zangief has two taunts. You can use his alternate taunt by pressing down + taunt at the same time.
