Banjo's Item Kit Traits

Description
This mod adds new Traits that provides some starting items, giving you a way to avoid beginning the game empty handed yet in a way that doesn't feel like a "cheat", since each Trait costs 1-3 points.

ITEM KITS (COST)
Not A Replica (2): .44 pistol, x2 .44 magazines, box of .44 bullets.
Ammo Stockpiler (2): duffel bag, box of 9mm bullets, box of .38 bullets, box of .45 bullets, box of .44 bullets, box of .223 bullets, box of .308 bullets, box of 5.56mm bullets, box of shotgun shells.
Art Supplies (1): tote bag, 6 sheets paper, 1 notebook, 2 pencils, 1 eraser, 1 pen, 1 crayons.
Backpacker (2): hiking bag, all maps, toothbrush, toothpaste, long socks.
Batter Up (1): baseball bat, baseball.
Bookworm (3): school bag, first aid book, electricity book, cooking book, farming book, tailoring book, foraging book, welding book, blacksmith book, carpentry book, fishing book, trapping book.
Boozer (1): plastic bag, whiskey, chardonnay, red wine.
Bugout Bag (3): backpack, hand torch, bottle of water, tin opener, matches, beef jerky, canned beans, hunting knife.
Casey J (1): ice hockey stick, hockey mask.
Chef Tonberry (1): kitchen knife.
Child's Play (1): toy car, bricktoys, toy bear, yoyo, comic.
Cleaning Supplies (1): garbage bag, mop, bucket, bleach, disinfectant, sponge, soap, dish towel.
Dirty Harry (2): .44 revolver, box of .44 bullets.
Discman (1): CD player, earabuds, x3 CDs.
Executive (1): briefcase, umbrella, pens, journal, newspaper, teabags, mug.
Field Medic Kit (2): first aid kit, x2 painkillers, x3 bandages, x2 bandaids, x2 alcohol wipes, x2 cotton balls, tweezers, suture holder, suture needle, twine, cold pack, splint, scalpel.
Fire Bomber (2): duffel bag, lighter, x4 molotovs.
First Aid Kit (1): first aid kit, painkillers, bandage, x2 bandaids, alcohol wipes, cotton balls, tweezers.
Fishing Trip (2): fishing rod, sewing kit box, x2 fishing line, box of paperclips, x6 worms, x2 fishing tackle.
Free Man (1): crowbar.
Fumigator (1): gas mask.
Furry (1): Spiffo suit, Spiffo head, Spiffo tail.
Gas Guzzler (1): can of gasoline.
Golfer (1): golf bag, x3 golf clubs, x3 golf balls, golf hat, pencil, notepad.
Gunslinger (2): .45 revolver, box of .45 bullets.
Hairdresser (1): purse, scissors, mirror, comb, hairspray.
Handbag (1): purse, comb, lipstick, foundation, pen, wallet, credit card.
Hard Boiled (2): .45 pistol, x2 .45 magazines, box of .45 bullets.
Holdout (2): .38 revolver, box of .38 bullets.
Home Pharmacy (2): fanny pack, x2 painkillers, x2 anti-depressants, x2 beta-blockers, x2 sleeping tablets, x2 vitamins.
Lightsource (1): torch.
Listen Up (1): cheap radio.
Machinegunner (3): assault rifle, x2 5.56mm magazines, box of 5.56mm bullets.
Makeup Bag (1): purse, comb, mirror, tweezers, lipstick, tissue, hairspray, foundation, eye shadow, perfume, pencil.
Newt (1): doll.
Packed Lunch (1): lunchbox, cheese sandwich, apple, yoghurt, crisps, chocolate, orange soda.
Plinker (2): varmint rifle, x2 .223 magazines, box of .223 bullets.
Radio Buddies (1): x2 toy walkie talkies.
Rifleman (2): hunting rifle, x2 .308 magazines (3-round), box of .308 bullets.
Riot Gear (3): duffel bag, riot helmet, bulletproof vest, gloves, boots, pants, jacket, nightstick.
School Supplies (1): school bag, notebook, journal, pencil, eraser, pen, glue, adhesive tape.
Sewing Kit (1): sewing kit box, needle, x3 thread, twine, x6 buttons, scissors.
For Close Encounters (2): pump shotgun, box of shotgun shells.
Sidearm (2): 9mm pistol, x2 9mm magazines, box of 9mm bullets.
Slasher (1): machete.
Sniper (3): semi-auto rifle, x2 .308 magazines (20-round), box of .308 bullets.
Spiffo Fan (1): Spiffo plushie, Spiffo mug, Spiffo t-shirt.
That's Not A Knife (1): survival knife.
Tobacconist (1): lighter, x2 packets of cigarettes.
Toiletry Kit (1): purse, razor, mirror, comb, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, cologne, bath towel.
Toolbox (2): toolbox, hammer, screwdriver, saw, box of nails, box of screws, duct tape, wood glue.
Two Smoking Barrels (2): double-barrel shotgun, box of shotgun shells.
Walkie Talkie (1): police walkie-talkie.
Wallet (1): wallet, credit card, money.
Woodcutter (2): wood axe.

BONUS BUGFIXES: As an added bonus, this mod also fixes an error still present as of b41.65 where Police Trooper Trousers (i.e. the blue ones) did not provide any "Scratch Protection" even though every other type of long pants do! When this mod is enabled, those trousers should now provide 10 Scratch Protection, the same as other similar clothing items. I will remove this feature if/when PZ officially fixes this issue.

Tested and working with build 41.65.

Of all the mods I have downloaded, this one has seen the most use and is perfect for roleplaying. I hope that someday it can be updated for B42, it is definitely the mod I miss the most.

Just a heads up! Inventory Tetris overrides this mod. It shows no conflicts or errors, but you won't be able to access any kits this mod gives you!

I'm also seeing that there is a "Blacksmith Book" in the Bookworm trait, what are all the mods are you using for this?

honestly looks extremely balanced, great work, im hoping there's a limit to how many Starter Kit traits to choose, but even so the best items have degrading conditions

I seen you have a machine gunner trait that adds an assault rifle, two mags and only one box of rounds. Would it not be better to start them with 3 boxes so they can fill both mags? Just curious.

Just a suggestion, add an extra trait to spawn with a holster. I love the option to start with the .38 revolver or .45 but it makes it rather awkward not being able to equip it to a hotkey. To me it makes sense not having them start with one as many people might just keep one in their bag in a SHTF situation, but most people I know that carry IRL do so with a holster of some sort & would make sense lore wise for someone to have one if they had a handgun to begin with.

Another request would be one to start with a watch.
