Of all the mods I have downloaded, this one has seen the most use and is perfect for roleplaying. I hope that someday it can be updated for B42, it is definitely the mod I miss the most.

Just a heads up! Inventory Tetris overrides this mod. It shows no conflicts or errors, but you won't be able to access any kits this mod gives you!

I'm also seeing that there is a "Blacksmith Book" in the Bookworm trait, what are all the mods are you using for this?

honestly looks extremely balanced, great work, im hoping there's a limit to how many Starter Kit traits to choose, but even so the best items have degrading conditions

I seen you have a machine gunner trait that adds an assault rifle, two mags and only one box of rounds. Would it not be better to start them with 3 boxes so they can fill both mags? Just curious.

Just a suggestion, add an extra trait to spawn with a holster. I love the option to start with the .38 revolver or .45 but it makes it rather awkward not being able to equip it to a hotkey. To me it makes sense not having them start with one as many people might just keep one in their bag in a SHTF situation, but most people I know that carry IRL do so with a holster of some sort & would make sense lore wise for someone to have one if they had a handgun to begin with.

Another request would be one to start with a watch.

@Zlobenia I guess I could, but why? Just don't use those if you don't like them, or feel free to suggest to me alternate costs for the ones you feel are too unbalanced. IMO, all gear is temporary so even great loot is no match for a buff or skill you get to keep forever.

@Staciepaquette When I get to update this again (might be a bit but hopefully soon) I'll see what I can do.

Any chance of a mod edit where only the less valuable ones are offered? Not personally into the ones adding high-end loot etc. for only 2/3 points

Sure! I'll add a soldier/merc type package with military gear next update (life is just a bit busy right now!).

I am quite open to increasing any kit costs but probably would like a user "vote" on it to be fair. Not sure the best way to conduct a poll or vote without flooding this with +1 -1 posts, though. Suggestions?

This is all nice and stuff but you're missing one simple little trait. A trait that gives you a cooking pot so that you can boil water in. I know you can find them pretty easy but having a lot in the early game is kinda nice. Maybe throw in some meat or some shit, I dunno.

@Alex: Sorry, I don't play multiplayer so have no idea how changes there might affect it. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but would need a lot more feedback to fix it if it doesn't.

@Staciepaquette: Sure, I'll do something like that next update. Similar to the riot gear one I have now but with a soldier's univorm, right?

@Dr. Berry: The moment I saw the Spiffo outfit was in the game, I just had to make that kit. :)

@Korhal Thanks. Yes, a lot of the kits are more for roleplay reasons than usefulness; I feel if you want a bunch of super useful items, there are cheats for that. I sometimes want to start out pretending I'm a guy with his lunch in his briefcase and nothing else. :)

I will change the Action Hero trait name next update, too. I'm thinking "Not a Replica" since it gives you a Desert Eagle (referencing Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels).

I wonder, if another trait with a "Survival Knife" could be added as well. Although I am not sure, if it should be a -2 or even -3 perk. Being way better its emphazie might be on -3, yet its still only a knife and it seems quite a step from -1^^

For traits with sidearms it would be fair to add a holster ))

I have another thing, although minor and probably not really your problem.
The kit "Action Hero" collides with the "More Traits"-Mod, as there is a perk named the same (although -8 and with a different effect).

I am not sure, if a simple renaming might help or if its even worth your time.
Maybe just call it "Gunslinger" or something like that. Up to you. :)

And I am sure most people have the utmost patience here. PZ community all in all seems pretty chill, especially towards smaller modders.

Many kits ain't that useful. I think, its fine to have kits, which are more for RP reasons, rather than being overall helpful.

Question: is the "Radio Buddies" kit useful at all? I don't play multiplayer but added it thinking maybe it would be helpful in that, but I have no idea really. I can remove it and just keep the "Walkie Talkie" kit if not.

@Korhal Absolutely not obnoxious at all! I appreciate the feedback and suggestions. I'm very much just a small-time modder compared to the amazing work others do for this game and am still learning how to do so much (even though I've owned and played the game since the Desura/Baldspot days!). Ideas, help and suggestions are always welcome, as are bug reports... except sometimes I can't fix them.

I sadly don't get the time to update my mods anywhere near as frequently as I'd like, so all I ask is understanding in frequency of updates from folks.

I thought so, its fine certain items being the same.
The description of "Lightsource" just stats "You get a Torch and a spare Battery", so therefor, you might add that as well. :)

@Korhal Thanks for spotting that, I added Fumigator at the last minute and forgot the icon. I'll update it tomorrow. The Bugout Bag gives you the "Hand Torch" (a Mag-Lite stye flashlight) while the Lightsource gives you the big plastic Dolphin-style "Flashlight" that was the first torch in the game. I don't think there's a gameplay difference but I'll check and confirm.

"Lightsource" adds an actual "Flashlight" and not a "Torch". Personally I never was quite sure, where the difference was, besides two different looking items.

@Korhal: Glad you like it! I'm happy to make a kit that adds a flashlight. As for the Toolkit... are there "toolboxes" in the game now?There weren't when I made this mod, but if there are I will definitely change that kit. I am also in agreement that maybe Bugout needs to cost more due to the bag it includes (or the bag itself changed).

@Tom Walsh: Originally I did have a tag appended to the kits, but I removed it before release when I realised that Traits are not sorted alphabetically but by point value (so tags at the front wouldn't change sorting).

@Sego: Sure, happy to change it. I don't think the wood axe was in the game when I first made this mod.
