I have asked Magistrator about a fix, but no response yet. What I will probably do instead is add Spug's autodocking for the carrier, and keep the SAM script acting as a station only (at some point when I get around to updating everything)
I tried to set this ship's SAM to remember the station, but it kept remembering the small personal craft dock on top of this ship. I disconnected it, set the bottom connector as [SAM MAIN] (SAM changed it to [SAM main] automatically), and ran the command again, got it to remember the station, re-docked the small ship, and took off.
Later I told it to return to Earth Gateway (the name of the station), and it first disconnected my personal shuttle, then, once it reached the station, attempted to use the top connector to dock.
Any ideas as to why it's trying to dock with the wrong connector? It hasn't had this problem in gravity (small landing pad next to a lake for H2 collection/refining).
To get a miner to register with the Hercules control screen, you need to set up the "channel" on the miner, and get it to match the Hercules.
You will find what you need in the custom data of the PAM programmable blocks.
For more details you can check out the PAM guide, under the controller mode section:
