Hi Jayhawk, thanks! and yes, they should mostly be there:

Absolutely love your designs. Any thought to adding the designs to mod.io for consoles? Know scripts don't work on consoles but would love to have the design there!

Hi Waldo, sorry, no ISL stations yet!
Waldo 16 Mar, 2022 @ 7:14pm
You have a ton of awesome designs. Do you have any space stations or ground stations you've designed that would accommodate docking with most of your designs?

If I had one complaint about this, it's that the two connectors that you could actually refuel hydrogen (and oxygen) from is the one under the refinery, and the personal shuttle one. I really can't recommend using hydrogen thurstered ships with this carrier.
Spite  [author] 17 Jun, 2021 @ 5:50am
Yeah, sorry about that, I couldn't find a work around either
Chocolate Pudding01 17 Jun, 2021 @ 5:40am
Okay, good to know that it wasn't something I was screwing up. I'll just have it move close to the station and manually dock it from there.

Yes, unfortunately SAM was not made to work on a ship designed to work as both a carrier for SAM ships and a SAM ship itself.

I have asked Magistrator about a fix, but no response yet. What I will probably do instead is add Spug's autodocking for the carrier, and keep the SAM script acting as a station only (at some point when I get around to updating everything)
Chocolate Pudding01 16 Jun, 2021 @ 3:58pm
So, I set up a small station (connector, battery, some conveyors leading to a cargo container, some solar panels, an antenna, and a PB set up for SAM).

I tried to set this ship's SAM to remember the station, but it kept remembering the small personal craft dock on top of this ship. I disconnected it, set the bottom connector as [SAM MAIN] (SAM changed it to [SAM main] automatically), and ran the command again, got it to remember the station, re-docked the small ship, and took off.

Later I told it to return to Earth Gateway (the name of the station), and it first disconnected my personal shuttle, then, once it reached the station, attempted to use the top connector to dock.

Any ideas as to why it's trying to dock with the wrong connector? It hasn't had this problem in gravity (small landing pad next to a lake for H2 collection/refining).

Hello again Chocolate Pudding01!

To get a miner to register with the Hercules control screen, you need to set up the "channel" on the miner, and get it to match the Hercules.

You will find what you need in the custom data of the PAM programmable blocks.
For more details you can check out the PAM guide, under the controller mode section:

It says "[PAM]-Controller | 0 Connected ships"

I've also corrected the button panel (all of the button bindings were lost for some reason)
Chocolate Pudding01 10 Jun, 2021 @ 8:49am
Hi, I just constructed this ship and corrected the toolbar for the Flight Seat (some of the things vanished...), and booted up the PB's. I have connected one of your hydrogen Quarry miners and... the LCD doesn't show that there's a connected ship.

Any troubleshooting steps for me to take? I've ensured that all PB's are turned on, disconnected/reconnected it, and ensured that all antennas are turned on.

Sweet. The only change I made was moving the landing legs 1 block out (as it is difficult to get under when it is on the ground) and swapping the conveyor junction (first one you hit when you go up the stairs from underneath) for a small cargo bay.:steamhappy:

Thanks, the Hercules series is due for an update soon ;)

I have, and its definitely on the to do list!

It is a really nice design. Have you thought about adding the small printer into one of the ships?
Spite  [author] 14 Aug, 2020 @ 12:20am
Hi aethel27, you could use either, although I did design it with the welder wall in mind, printing from the rear, there should even be a merge block there to attach to your factory.

But it has been a while, so let me know if you have any issues!
aethel27 13 Aug, 2020 @ 9:52am
Just curious about how to go about building this in Survival. Do you recommend welder ships or woul building a giant wall of welders be more practical?
Spite  [author] 19 Jun, 2020 @ 2:55pm
Ooops, that is not intentional, I must have deleted it at some point and not put it back, thanks for the heads up.

And thanks! Just be careful with using PAM on the AT version, its a tight squeeze (I'll make the MK2 bigger)
Zeal 19 Jun, 2020 @ 2:42pm
I don't know if it's intentional but the AT and the AQ Hercules are both missing gravity generators. I have to say the group I'm hanging out with in this game is really amazed by this whole ship line.
Spite  [author] 14 May, 2020 @ 11:08pm
Fair enough, most of the shuttles I build do have both SAM and PAM though, (like the Atlas). With the exception of the drones, which don't have a cockpit/seat, so PAM would be impractical.
Kodiak 14 May, 2020 @ 3:22pm
Ah!... that could be the explanation. Need to test again. I forgot the idea that shuttles are used to ferry ore from the Hercules.

I had a hard time testing SAM in the past so I never used it. Maybe I need to try it again.

Im not the more patient guy on earth when using remote controled scripts :) (thats why I love PAM and its simplicity).

Thx Spite.

I'm not sure what you mean?

The ship has three sorters, one pulls ore from the miner docks into cargo storage.

The second pulls ore from the cargo storage into the ships that dock to the two top rear connectors. This is so that you can use automated cargo shuttles/drones (like the Callisto) and have them load automatically.

The third pulls stone from cargo storage into a connector with Eject all on, for dumping excess stone.

Which sorter is behaving strangely? Perhaps the sorter for loading the cargo shuttles is on when you don't want it to be?
Kodiak 14 May, 2020 @ 2:27pm
Hi Spite. Was testing this ship and Im liking it (its a miner carrier :) however Im wondering whats the idea (or thought process) in having the sorters that avoid getting the ore from the miners into the large cargo container? (or Im missing something...). Thx

Hi there, thanks Sir Stranger glad you are enjoying!
