WBG: Woody Island

Woody Island is part of the controversial Paracel Island chain in the South China Sea. the Peoples Republic of China has been artificially expanding these islands under the mask of a "commercial resort" while in reality the islands are forward military bases to stop US and allied military naval operations in the area.

I chose Woody Island due to the lack of modern Pacific terrains in the ArmA 3 platform. Woody Island plus my previously released Lincon Island are part of the same chain which make them ideal for campaigns involving the Peoples Liberation Army of China. The terrain landmass is 2km x 2km while the entire battlespace spans 5km x 5km. Despite its small real estate the terrain boast a variety of areas including woods, army bases, ammo depot, communications equipment, two docks, commercial resort, and an airfield.

This footage you see is of beta release v0.1. Terrain is subject to change and improvements as it progresses to a final release. The community units, vehicles, and other assets shown in this video are an array of content packs from various community members. I did not create, own or include these in this terrain. Expect improvements to the satellite image, object placement, textures, and other small details.

With Lincon Island and Woody Island out in beta expect to see additional islands in the same chain to come!
