Description

Hirundo Leucosoma[en.wikipedia.org] – a non-migratory bird native to west Africa is the inspiration for this aircraft.
This is my first fixed-wing aircraft creation. I wanted something easy to fly, realistic, and appealing, this is the result. Some might find it a little difficult in the beginning, but this is easy to master.
Features overview:
  • Realistic avionics
  • Realistic aviation lights w/ synchronized strobes and beacon
  • Heading and altitude hold autopilot
  • Radio and transponder
  • Safety alarms and warnings
  • Emergency beacon
  • Ground power connectors, belly, and front
  • 2x Auxiliary batteries
  • 26x passenger seats
  • Lavatory
  • ~150 knots in airspeed
  • ~300km range

New!
  • *customizable controls - with the select tool on the workbench, select the microcontroller behind the co-pilot seat and underneath the warning indicators. Select your preferred controls. Don't forget: on both pilot and co-pilot's seats, set the sensitivity for the throttle control to 100%, and 10% (or preference) to the pitch/elevator. Finally, rename as a propriate.
  • Propeller pitch is no longer variable - to prevent the engine from reaching its RPS limit and high temperatures.
Startup Checklist:
  • Main Power breaker: on
  • Engine 1 power: on
  • Engine 2 power: on
  • Avionics Master Switch: on
  • Hydraulics: on
  • Engine Master Switch: on
  • Fuel pump 1: on
  • Fuel pump 2: on
  • Engine 1 start: press once, check RPMs
  • Engine 2 start: press once, check RPMs
  • Bridge batteries: on

This particular swallow is slower, and does not fly as far since it is a non-migratory one. It is lightly laden. Coconuts may be carried but not recommended. The airspeed velocity of this swallow is approximately 153 knots at cruising. A faster and migratory European swallow will arrive soon!

is it faster than a european swallow? and is it a laden swallow?
