Description
(CV Class 2, CPU Tier 2 Unlock Level 10)

Primary roles: Starter CV, crafting, storage, defense, warp, shield ready, farm, drone hatch, upgradable, no rare resources

Reforged Eden note 1-6-2021: Recently I used this ship in Reforged Eden but first took it into RE creative scenario to see what I would need to change. I was very happy in seeing nothing on the ship needed to change and it was already ready for reforged Eden with it's stock 1 tier 2 core block. I added a couple improved blocks as well and added some more turrets and a couple more rear thrusters and of course a shield in my play time with it and somehow managed not to destroy it. (pretty hard for me lol) Basically I am saying this is RE ready without changes made.

The Kriel Shade is a player starter CV with a lot of function and designed to be upgraded to CPU Tier 3 for more features. It unlocks at player level 10 and requires no rare resources. It comes with 6 retractable cannon turrets, 1 advanced constructor, 2 small constructors, 3x200K storage, 40K ammo storage, 18 grow plots, 2 cooking stations, 2 fridges, armor locker, warp core, pentaxid tank, hangar, landing pad, front entry ramp, Med station and all specialized medical equipment, O2 and dispenser, 4 large cargo boxes, and Wifi. It is designed to add more function with a CPU tier 3 upgrade and includes a info guide on on where to put addition parts such as a shield, offline protection, repair bay and console, armor repair, and an additional T1 generator.

Additional function with a CPU tier 3 upgrade:

The ship has marked locations to remove a single tier 2 cpu block and replace with 2 tier 3 CPU blocks. After this is done, there are places marked to add a Shield, offline protection, armor repair, repair bay and console, an additional T1 generator, and 6 CV weapon or mining drill mounts. If using mining, you will need to add harvest storage one way or another. You could either replace 1 of 3 200K storage controllers with a harvest controller, or add a new storage system in with some room on the back area of the hangar was set aside for.

Offense and Defense:

The ship comes with 6 retractable cannon turrets and a switch control to turn them off/on. It also has 6 launcher style weapon or mining mounts on the front of the ship. The hull is built of steel and the interior is built with carbon substrate. It is not a combat ship but is more aggressive vs the MCRN-Pioneer or Wayfarer-ST (Other faction starter CV's I made) as is the nature with Kriel. If upgraded with space launchers and a shield could be use for light combat situations or space mining provided you added harvest storage as mentioned above.


Turning ship into a miner at cpu Tier 3:

In the back side top area of the hangar there is some open area as well as 2 large cargo boxes and some deco items going down to the hangar floor. It is intended to remove the 2 cargo boxes and fill that whole area in with container extensions having a connected harvest controller on the hangar floor. However a simpler way would be to simply replace one of the three 200K storage controllers with a harvest controller however this will remove existing cargo space. Also you would want to add 6 CV miners to marked locations on the front/side areas of the ship.

3. 2 Fridges, 2xfood processors, o2 and dispenser, WiFi
4. 18 Grow plot farm, armor locker, Wifi, warp core, shield ready with cpu tier 3 upgrade
5. Med bay and all extra specialized equipment
6. Hangar, landing pad, front entry ramp, exterior lights
7. Steel hull with carbon substrate interior, 6 cannon turrets, 6 launcher mount points, 40K ammo storage
8. Sensor based lights and ramps, cockpit control switches for exterior lights, drone hatch, thrusters, and retractable turrets.
9. 8 lift thrusters to move carried weight and docked HV/SV's.

Notes: In a couple screen shots you see distant new Kriel buildings. These are WIP POI's that are not yet released to support the Kriel faction. The hangar door size is 9x5. The top landing pad is large enough to dock the current largest Kriel SV, the Wraith. Stock, the ship is at 100% CPU efficiency but very close to the 500,000 cap.

So something weird is happening with this build for me, seems like the build is not recognizing my sv. I am in a multiplayer scenario and I fixed it up a bit in creative mode.
So first I am trying to enter inside the ship with an sv and the hanger door is not opening, but if I walk it opens. Second I am trying to park with sv on the top and it won't dock. I wonder if it's something to do with the the Kriel Shade or the way I saved it in creative, or the sv I am using. Anybody experiencing something similar? Thanks

Best starter CV I've come across. Design looks super sick especially with all the ambient lighting. I also love how it was designed to add stuff and expand as needed (see builder's description.) I was looking for a small CV to get me to warp to other star systems that was easy to build in the factory and this is by far the best one I've found so far. 5 stars from me. Will definitely be looking at jrandall's other builds.

PS: If you are a server admin or have admin rights to a server and want to tour the ship, subscribe to this ship, restart your game, then open the command console in-game with the ~ key, then type sbp to turn on blueprint spawning and spawn the ship. Do it again to turn off spawning. To delete the spawned ship, type di in the command console to turn on the debug menu top right corner which will show the ID of the targeted asset. Type destroy <target id> in the commands console. Example: destroy 123456

The med station in the hangar seems redundant, everything it cures can be cured by the medical equipment in the other room.
Also it feels like it could use a stock sensor. But otherwise I thinkthis is going to be my awesome first CV!

I have tinkered with it in the Creative area replacing some front and underside blocks with combat ones. I added more weapons aswell. I'm by no means an expert and only guessing on things.

@injunity Thanks for the response however I was asking for "end game worthy". He mentioned it as a Starter CV and I like the design of it. So hence my previous question of what it needs upgraded to take to the end of the game? :)

@Razgaur, according to the description, it is already vanilla ready, and it's can be used in RE too.
