So something weird is happening with this build for me, seems like the build is not recognizing my sv. I am in a multiplayer scenario and I fixed it up a bit in creative mode.
So first I am trying to enter inside the ship with an sv and the hanger door is not opening, but if I walk it opens. Second I am trying to park with sv on the top and it won't dock. I wonder if it's something to do with the the Kriel Shade or the way I saved it in creative, or the sv I am using. Anybody experiencing something similar? Thanks

Best starter CV I've come across. Design looks super sick especially with all the ambient lighting. I also love how it was designed to add stuff and expand as needed (see builder's description.) I was looking for a small CV to get me to warp to other star systems that was easy to build in the factory and this is by far the best one I've found so far. 5 stars from me. Will definitely be looking at jrandall's other builds.

PS: If you are a server admin or have admin rights to a server and want to tour the ship, subscribe to this ship, restart your game, then open the command console in-game with the ~ key, then type sbp to turn on blueprint spawning and spawn the ship. Do it again to turn off spawning. To delete the spawned ship, type di in the command console to turn on the debug menu top right corner which will show the ID of the targeted asset. Type destroy <target id> in the commands console. Example: destroy 123456

The med station in the hangar seems redundant, everything it cures can be cured by the medical equipment in the other room.
Also it feels like it could use a stock sensor. But otherwise I thinkthis is going to be my awesome first CV!

I have tinkered with it in the Creative area replacing some front and underside blocks with combat ones. I added more weapons aswell. I'm by no means an expert and only guessing on things.

@injunity Thanks for the response however I was asking for "end game worthy". He mentioned it as a Starter CV and I like the design of it. So hence my previous question of what it needs upgraded to take to the end of the game? :)

@Razgaur, according to the description, it is already vanilla ready, and it's can be used in RE too.

@Sasori_777 i just tried this on an SP game, it turns fine. not on any servers rn, check to see if you have piloting mode on or not. i play with it off myself, but i'd rather the slower respons to turning, not sure what else could cause a turning problem. maybe damaged engines on the port and/or starboard sides?

@Ceebz only way i can think of is to find the source of the radiation and put some armored windows up around it, or relocate the item to where you can 'seal it off from the livng are for you and your crew did you change anything on the ship? upgrade the warp in vanilla or RE or other scenario?

your ship has radiation ongoing, is there a way to "Hide" rad devices so I wouldn't get radiated all the time?

I am fairly new to Empyrion but I decided to use the Shade as my first CV template and I'm really impressed. There is clearly a ton of work put into this and I am very appreciative!

I just saw this in your starter CV video and then spawned it in creative - amazing. I've been using the Wayfarer and Pioneer until now. Guess I'll have to start yet another game :)

Thank you very much jasonvarner2088 and Rhylock! @jasonvarner2088, I believe the game has some bugs causing all kinds of docking issues at the time. I seen many myself too. Different ships etc. As a building, there really isn't anything I can do about it. It is just a flat surface, not much to change there. So, i hope this issue goes away. @Rhylock, to switch from RE to vanilla, I think mainly you would want to remove the CPU cores, and place the vanilla cores needed to achieve the CPU of the ship. You should not have to add generators as RE creations typically need more power. The last part thou would be to remove any RE only parts. This can be tricking. Sometimes replacing a turret of the same type, WC, etc is needed. And thanks again all!

One more thing, thank you for making this work in vanilla. I just found the game and like it, I know RE is all the rage but I am not looking for a game like this to become omega difficult. So finding bp's that work in vanilla is a treat. I am trying to learn how to take a bp for RE and scale it to work in vanilla but am over my head with that. I am just now learning how to take older ships and rip the RCS's out of them to get them in CPU. I got the MX9R (?) working and love it. Sorry for the ramble.

I chose this as my starter CV. I am blown away by your ships. I opened a creative world and looked at the Accipiter and the Overseer. Holy cow man. I have upgraded and modified the Shade with a concept of, 'I killed this thing and now I am going to use it to hunt the rest.' Thank you for the inspiration and the fantastic designs, and for the YouTube videos. You are awesome!

@jrandall I have worked to build this CV and the Kriel-Prospecto in my single player game. When I dock the prospecto to either the top landing pad or in the hangar, I get an immediate error and it asks me to continue. Are these ships not compatible, or am I missing something else I need to do?

Thank you boogiwooge8173. I am not sure what you mean on gun seats. I can't remember if it had passenger seats or not, but those would act as gun seats, or a place for a second player to sit and take control of a turret. Thanks again!

Once I had left orbit and obtained a reasonable amount of resources I turned to this as my CV. I also checked out many other starter and mid-game CVs but came to the conclusion that this was simply one of the best options starting out. I love the layout and design of the ship and it can be easily upgraded with T3 CPU extenders and a variety of weapons. I also feel that this ship simply excels at doing so many different things right out of the box. The hangar is generously large and there is a landing pad/tool placement on the top of the ship and the entry/exit points are well thought out. The drone hatch and large growing area are nice bonus features. If you're just starting out and want an excellent starter CV, look no further than this beauty!

Thanks H-DE! Well, I brought into RE game, and came across an improved core and added it. So I had some extra CPU around to add more stuff. So, I decided to add a shield, another generator, and then I added some more rear thrusters. I was carrying a lot of stuff and the ship was getting slowish. So, basically just mostly labeled upgrade stuff except more thrust. And thanks again!

Hey thanks so much, this CV is made for my haaha.... i played so much the normal game so dont want to miss it. Also I use this to hover on high graventy planets when i farm with HV so you make me happy, that I can use it again.

Thank you H-DE! I just recently used it in RE and I went to creative RE mode first to see what I would have to change to make it work. Well, to my delight, nothing at all needed to be changed. It is within CPU RE limits stock. Now in game I did add in a couple more forward thrusters to increase the space speed, but it had enough CPU for it without adding crew, quantum, or alt core blocks. I know the post currently doesn't say anything about RE, (I will edit it), it is ready for RE without changes made to it. And thanks again!

My favourite go to starter CV.. Always removing the bed and exstra cargo boxes for additional fuel, he he - but other than that - WONDERFUL design..
Also usually end up having it with t3, at least one shield generator and combat steel. Works like a charm

Best thing: Easy in and out when using it - one of the things I really hate about larger CV's, they quickly become too large and it takes forever to walk back and forth.

Thank you very much for this design. With a few tune-ups (a mining turret above the cockpit, some more turrets for extra protection, and once you have it you can mount the artillery on the top landing pad) it became the perfect CV for my play style. No unnecessary fancy extra stuff, this ship has exactly what I need and it's small enough so you don't get lost.

Running this instead of my usual Pioneer selection. Not quite as practical as the Pioneer (smaller hangar, smaller farm) but better weapon upgrade options and this is so sexy :) Might need to repaint my Ballista if the Apopis won't fit comfortably in the hangar. Nice work as always!

the ship works fine , not sure if i took damage somewhere that caused the previous air leak , or if i was just a moron and didnt turn on the oxygen system in the control panel ... maybe both :D but on a friends game i was able to build it and it works fine in space / hostile environments ;) thanks again

No modding required for this - very functional. I skipped building a Tier 1 and went straight to this. It will do for well into mid game. Great build.

BTW, I can take out the small constructors and put in a shield and T1 generator and still be within T2 CPU limits. Is that right? Are there any negatives with doing that?

really enjoying your creations , especially the fact that they actually work ... only issue i seem to be having is the crops dont seem to be growing , i get an error message saying no oxygen , even though there is the half air vent thing you placed over in the corner , i even removed 2 armor blocks from above the food processor in that room , placed an O2 tank and another air vent thing and still they said no oxygen ??? i have had a look around but i cannot see anywhere that would be an air leak ?? i have owned the game a long time , but not played it properly until recently , so unsure if its something caused by an update that arrived after the ship was built initially ? its not an issue , i can grow my crops in my base , just seems a waste of space if i cant grow anything in there :( but , again , not a complaint , just a query , and THANKS again for all your hard work, you are saving those of us with no building skills many many hours of frustration, and brick flying ..

I think, this is by far the most usefully designed CV this workshop has to offer.

Equidistributed cargo space, powerful forward thrusters, ready to install weapon / drill locations, full medical suite, very fast player movement between hangar - middle deck, outside, top landing zone and cockpit makes it my go to first CV during my playthroughs.

I think Wayfarer is more popular, just because of the color scheme. I have reworked some of the details in the bed and closet, the toilet area, and hangar.

I am thinking about doing a full apperance rework, giving it a color scheme more looking like the wayfarer, also work out some kinks and adjust some blocks here and there, to give it a more warm appearance, yet preserve all the original things I've been liking so far. I also want to introduce some signal circuit additions,

Would it be cool with you, if I did the rework and workshop uploaded that, with original credit going to you jrandall?
