Operation Restore AV-42C

Description
Operation Restore is a four mission campaign for the AV-42C Kestrel. If you follow orders, you will have the opportunity to experience the various roles of the aircraft, including rescue, reconnaissance, as well as air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, not to mention the creation of abundant goodwill while restoring order to the strategically high valued Kingdom of Utopia.

The final R-Day-3 mission is an epic battle for air superiority, involving 7 teams (14 allied aircraft) working together to restore order to the kingdom. While the difficulty increases with each mission, which should require 25 to 40 minutes to complete, the overall difficulty of the campaign is moderate or intermediate. You may select which mission to fly, the time of day to fly it, and the weapon loadout you prefer. If you are seeking greater challenges, try flying the final three missions at night, which will increase both the realism and difficulty. If you, like many of us, continue to struggle with carrier landings, you can choose to complete the first three missions without landing on the carrier. When you complete the objectives of the final mission, you will land at the airbase you just helped recapture. You can then park your aircraft where you can see the runway and watch the surviving allied aircraft land, including the AWAC and tanker support aircraft.

I hope you enjoy Operation Restore as much as I enjoyed creating it! Favorable ratings are greatly appreciated!

Noteworthy Comments:

> The Utopia island map was created and derived from “Test Map Alpha” created by bootney40.
> “Utopia” is a book written by Sir Thomas More in 1515.
> Mission command audio was created from the website “www.ttsmaker.com” hosted by TTSMaker.
> OWOTH is an acronym derived from Our Way Or The Highway.
> All photographs accompanying this description are screenshots I took while test flying each mission.

Topping up fuel instead of just to 2/3 solved the issue. Thanks.

@blu3prince, thanks again for your post. Today, I revised the mission 3 Refuel and Rearm objective to complete when the player lands on one of the OWOTH landing pads. Previously, the objective would not complete unless the player refueled to at least 95% of capacity. Hopefully this resolved the issue you experienced. Please let me know if it did not resolve it. Thanks for playing Operation Restore!

@blu3prince, please respond to help me figure out what caused the refuel objective to not trigger completion. The requirement for the objective you cited is to refuel > 95%. Did you refuel to >95%? Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your post. I will try to replicate your experience and post an update here.

Mission: R-Day-2 (mission 3): I get to the point when I am asked to land at OWOTH to rearm and refuel. Progression is stuck though: I have landed at one of the pads, rearmed, refueled but objective is not advancing to the next task.

All who had issues completing the second mission, please consider an additional attempt and let me know if I my most recent upload addresses the issues of Zulu 1-2 and/or Kilo engaging in erratic or obstructive behavior that prevents objective completion. Thanks to all for your patience!

It does help. I have noticed the infantry behavior of attacking RedFor targets if within the infantry weapon range. I routinely destroy that closest SAM launcher because the infantry weapon is not sufficiently powerful to destroy it. I guess one option would be to configure the infantry to not engage enemies. I will try to figure something out. Thanks for your post!

If that helps, they seemed eager to attack the nearby SAM site, rather than onboarding.

Wow! I am sorry to learn that troops are partially boarding. I am at a loss as to how to fix that. I will try to replicate it at my earliest opportunity. Thanks for your post.

Thanks for the fix ! Zulu 1-2 did come down once I landed, then wait for the troops, then only 2 climbed aboard :(
I could manage to convince all the rest to enter after closing the door, taking off a bit, moved around, then went back to land at the waypoint, opening again the doors, and repeat 3 times.
