Topping up fuel instead of just to 2/3 solved the issue. Thanks.

@blu3prince, thanks again for your post. Today, I revised the mission 3 Refuel and Rearm objective to complete when the player lands on one of the OWOTH landing pads. Previously, the objective would not complete unless the player refueled to at least 95% of capacity. Hopefully this resolved the issue you experienced. Please let me know if it did not resolve it. Thanks for playing Operation Restore!

@blu3prince, please respond to help me figure out what caused the refuel objective to not trigger completion. The requirement for the objective you cited is to refuel > 95%. Did you refuel to >95%? Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your post. I will try to replicate your experience and post an update here.

Mission: R-Day-2 (mission 3): I get to the point when I am asked to land at OWOTH to rearm and refuel. Progression is stuck though: I have landed at one of the pads, rearmed, refueled but objective is not advancing to the next task.

All who had issues completing the second mission, please consider an additional attempt and let me know if I my most recent upload addresses the issues of Zulu 1-2 and/or Kilo engaging in erratic or obstructive behavior that prevents objective completion. Thanks to all for your patience!

It does help. I have noticed the infantry behavior of attacking RedFor targets if within the infantry weapon range. I routinely destroy that closest SAM launcher because the infantry weapon is not sufficiently powerful to destroy it. I guess one option would be to configure the infantry to not engage enemies. I will try to figure something out. Thanks for your post!
ZbuffeR 21 Oct, 2021 @ 6:27pm
If that helps, they seemed eager to attack the nearby SAM site, rather than onboarding.
Zulu  [author] 20 Oct, 2021 @ 4:19pm
Wow! I am sorry to learn that troops are partially boarding. I am at a loss as to how to fix that. I will try to replicate it at my earliest opportunity. Thanks for your post.
ZbuffeR 20 Oct, 2021 @ 2:40pm
Thanks for the fix ! Zulu 1-2 did come down once I landed, then wait for the troops, then only 2 climbed aboard :(
I could manage to convince all the rest to enter after closing the door, taking off a bit, moved around, then went back to land at the waypoint, opening again the doors, and repeat 3 times.

Thank you to ZbuffeR and Thenlar for returning my focus to trying to resolve this issue. I just uploaded the campaign with a revised mission 2 that I hope will do just that. Thanks to all for your patience and please see my change notes. I encourage you to try the mission again. As always, your constructive feedback is welcome.
Zulu  [author] 17 Oct, 2021 @ 6:28pm
ZbuffeR, thank you for letting me know that the issue Thenlar identified remains troublesome. There are a couple of possible revisions I can make to Zulu 1-2’s settings and actions that might resolve the issue. I will then upload the revised campaign and post a change note with an updated post here. My apologies for the continuing issue.

Same issue as Thenlar on second mission, nothing happens when I should pick King and Kilo.
I search for the logs and no Zulu 1-2 crash.
The only other aircraft near the ennemy base is another AV-42C, but it just destroys all enemy units, then circle around in the air. No a quicksave/load issue, I tried a few times in one sitting.

Hi Thenlar. So far, I have been unable to replicate the issue you experienced, but I have an idea as to what might be the cause. My experience has been that sometimes the AI pilots crash into the terrain or killed by the environment for no apparent reason. In your flight log, was there an entry that Zulu 1-2 (unit 63) crashed into the terrain? Zulu 1-2 is key to deploying the Kilo team that extracts the King from the barracks. If Zulu 1-2 crashed, then the rescue objective will not complete. You mentioned Oscar and Mike in your post, which are enemy AI pilots that apparently crashed for no apparent reason. In my retests, I also experienced Oscar and Mike crashing, but not Zulu 1-2.

Thanks for your post. I will see if I can replicate the issue and post an update regarding remediation here. I am sorry you had an annoying issue that prevented objective advancement.
Thenlar 1 Aug, 2021 @ 10:00am
Wasn't able to complete the 2nd mission, where I had to pick up the King and Kilo. I blew up the surprise tank and the extra enemy infantry, landed at my waypoint.... and no one came. I waited for a couple minutes, and nothing.

Checking my logs, I saw that Oscar 1-1, Mike 1-1, and Mike 1-2 had all been killed by the Environment? Was that the aircraft transporting the Kilo team? If so.. well, they died very early on then and rendered the mission incompletable without saying anything.

Thanks for your update. Enjoy.

I have just completed the campaign. Since the update it played through lovely. Nice touch with the ending for replayability. Will be flying the F-26 next.

After increasing the waypoint proximities and adding the option to complete the first 3 missions without landing on the carrier, I just uploaded the revised Operation Restore AV-42C Campaign. You may have to exit Steam and re-enter to get the revised campaign. You can tell you have the revised campaign when you see a 1-second green flare at the bow end of the flight deck as soon as you enter the mission. Please let me know if you experience any other issues so I can try to address them. This campaign is also available on the Workshop for the F/A-26B and the F-45A. If you enjoy the campaign, please consider posting a favorable rating and/or comments to let others know it is a fun campaign. Again, thanks for taking the time to post the issue!
Zulu  [author] 22 Aug, 2020 @ 8:17am
Thank you for your post! I am actually in the process of uploading an update that expands the waypoint proximities for all missions to 3,150 m (2 miles) from 800 m (0.5 miles), which should address the issue. I will post an update here when I have completed the upload and related description.

i REALLY was enjoying your missions, however it seems like hitting the waypoints is like threading a needle, dont know why but after picking up echo then flying the wp route it kept missing them then eventually pinging me onto the next, nothing actually happened for me after that though just kept sending me back to wp 1. will fly it again soon
Zulu  [author] 6 Jun, 2020 @ 4:16pm
Great! My apologies for the issue.
Domus 6 Jun, 2020 @ 4:13pm
Now works! Thank you!
Domus 6 Jun, 2020 @ 11:33am
Ok thank you! I'll try soon! Keep you posted.
Zulu  [author] 6 Jun, 2020 @ 8:22am
Hi Domus - I think I was able to replicate and correct the issue. Please try again and let me know if I resolved the issue for you. You may have to close and reopen VTOL to get the updated campaign. Thanks again for posting! Enjoy!
Zulu  [author] 6 Jun, 2020 @ 7:22am
Thank you for posting the issue. Are you referring to selecting weapons in mission R-Day-1?
Domus 6 Jun, 2020 @ 2:55am
Hi there, dunno why but I cant configure my plane in the 2nd mission! :(
