Flat Stockpile

In 1 collection by Nemo Jr.
My Banished Mods
11 items
Description
A clone of the regular Stock Pile, but it can be placed anywhere, and be much larger (1x1 to 256x256). Serves mainly as an alternative to Flatten Terrain Tool.

THERE IS NO UNDO. Save your town before flattening a mountain or clogging a river.

It's a new tool, separate from the vanilla Stock Pile; so it's not affected by my No Auto Flatten mod.

It can be found in the Storage toolbar, right after Stock Pile (or after Specialized Stockpiles, if you have that mod).

Compatibility & Recommendations
- It's a new item so it shouldn't conflict with anything.

- For modders: It's in the 'storage' toolbar, with a '_sortPriority' of 270.

- Pairs well with my No Auto Flatten mod, for a bit of controlled terrain manipulation when you need it, and only when you need it.

Other Notes & Details
It irked me that the Flatten Terrain Tool mod wasn't uploaded to the Workshop by its actual author, so I wanted to at least provide an alternative. Besides, a Stockpile has certain advantages:

- It absorbs resources as your workers collect them; no need to carry resources somewhere else until you're ready to remove the Flat Stockpile.

- The footprint / texture of a Stock Pile makes it very obvious when the flattening work is actually done. It also makes it obvious that you need to 'remove the building' to build something else there.

I wanted to make it a 'temporary' storage that absorbs the resources collected from its area but doesn't accept any further input, but couldn't find a way to do that without breaking it. Oh well.

I can see why you're confused. Here's a little info that you didn't ask for, in case you're curious:

I assume PSIchoNinja's Storage Stash changes the 'storage' section of stockpile buildings. By comparison, my Placement Restrictions mods change the 'toolbar' and 'createdrag' sections. They both conflict with Specialized Stockpiles in an intended way but shouldn't conflict with each other. (We deliberately make files that will overwrite parts of SpS.)

You can see all this in your mod list, if you select a mod and click 'mod details' button.

As long as you place the first two mods higher than SpS in your mod list, all three can coexist peacefully.

Like I said, Flat Stockpile is unrelated to any of this. It won't conflict, but also won't have its capacity increased by StS, for example.

My bad...it is "Storage Stash" https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=409304796
Although i do have the other one too(by GaBbAr)...took it directly from Banished website hence why it is not here on steam...like many great mods...Thank you

This is a new, separate building, cloned from the vanilla stockpile. Shouldn't affect or be affected by any other mod. I use Specialized Stockpiles myself. Couldn't find the other mod you mentioned, but that's beside the point; I just looked out of curiosity.

So i assume this mod is compatible with "Specialized Stockpiles"...what about with "more raw materials" (that increases the space of stored materials)?
