Grumbling Thunderers (Great Weapons)

Description
Have you ever been their cleaning your blunderbuss and wonder why all those beards who use crossbows can eventually work their way up to a great weapon, but you cannot? Well so have I!

This mod aims to bring a high tier version of Dwarf Thunderers into Warhammer 2.

A major thanks to Sebidee's unit tutorial for making this mod possible. This mod is still very much in it's balancing state! I welcome any recommendations you may have on unit costs, upkeep, etc...

The thought behind them:

PROBLEM: How to make a stronger thunderer without giving them a technologically superior weapon or magic?
SOLUTION: Surely some Longbeards in Dwarf Society preferred a rifle as their primary weapon!

PROBLEM: Missions for some of the Dwarf Lords have you traveling all the way up to Norsca or other areas that are significantly far away...
SOLUTION: Backpacks and traveling gear for everyone! This is also why every Grumbling Thunderer carries a mining weapon instead of a war axe or hammer. Like the Roman army in the real world, the battle hardened dwarf troops are expected to help build the underground roads and carry their own survival kit.

Current To-Do List:
- Make a better Unit Card
- Balancing!
- Better videos and pictures

Other Mods
- Longbeard Thunderers (Axe and Shield)

@Nasser It probably has to do with animation permissions. I havent looked into the mod myself (as i've been away from modding until TWWHIII), but that would be my guess.

Hey, there is a mod that add reloading animations to units with muskets. This mod even makes modded units do the animations! For some reason, this does not apply to your mod, do you know why?

This looks AWESOME!!! Any way to possibly get an SFO submod good sir? Regardless, thanks for your great work!

To my knowledge they should benefit from all skills that impact "Thunderers".

Quick question, do these benefit from red line lord skills? I can see the units for recruitment but I can't see a special tag for them in red line lord skills. Does your mod consider their base unit type Longbeards or Thunderers? (Or both, would be 👌)

Thanks for these. Any chance of improving the unit cards, everything else is perfect about this mod? Probably aint easy, but please try.

Appreciate the hard work you put in! ty again

Yea.. they are really effective. The reason is the animation. Thunderers for example can fight in meele and shot from the ranks behind without meele-penalties, because they can switch the weapons really fast and have much armor and the animation of shooting is really fast and not like bow-animation because of no reload-animation. The Lothern Guard can not do this.
In the earlygame there is less, stronger than a full line of thunderers against early units.

The problem was, that there are no better units than the thunderers and so you must change your armies with the time, because they get to weak against heavy armored units.

My favorite end game dwarf army is probably just missile units like this for a gun line (or several lines), artillery, and gyrobombers.

Never played dwarfs before, never really had an interest in them. These guys along with some other unit mods are gonna make me change my mind.

@nordstern I just updated the shield version to be the Longbeard Armor. Sorry for the delay, had some real life tasks that needed to get done before I could work on it
