Description
Do you think the base game affliction chance is too high? Do you think most affliction chance mods make the virtue chance too high? Do you wish they were more balanced, like all things in life should be? Then this is the mod you are looking for.

What Does This Mod Do?
This mod gives you equal chances of getting either an affliction or a virtue by setting both affliction and virtue base chances to 50%, effectively making it a coin toss. Additionally, this mod sets the minimum chance for affliction or virtue to 10% and the maximum to 90%, ensuring that trinkets and effects can still alter these chances. However, the chances will never drop below 10% or exceed 90%, regardless of how many modifiers are used.

Special Notes
The Flagellant is unaffected by this mod due to a special setting in its class file that guarantees it will always get afflicted with its unique affliction called Rapturous.

Some modded classes have their own custom afflictions/virtues. Classes with custom afflictions/virtues do not use the shared settings, making them unaffected by this mod, similar to the Flagellant. Read the mod page of the class in question for information on whether it has custom afflictions/virtues.

Known Issues
  • During the Shieldbreaker's nightmare-ambush sequence, the Shieldbreaker will always get afflicted.
  • Heroes that die during the Farmstead's endless mode will still return afflicted with Refracted.

Uninstalling
This mod is safe to uninstall mid-playthrough.

Load Order
Load order shouldn't matter, but if you are having problems, try moving it higher in the load order.

Thanks for telling me. I checked my local files and seems I really didn't change the values and only updated the descripton. It's fixed now you may have to unsub and sub again since some times it steam doesn't update mods.

After using this mod, I noticed that even after significantly increasing the probability of virtue, there's still a high chance of entering the affliction state. Upon checking the mod files, I found that both affliction_min_chance and affliction_max_chance are set to 0.5. Does this mean the mod doesn't match its description and actually locks the probability at 50%, unaffected by other effects?

It's overstressed_modifier close to the end of the file. On that same line it will list the custum affliction/virtue ids, it can also contain the % between affiction and virtue and at the end of the line it usually has the % chance of the custom setting to override the shared settings.

Only classes with custom settings have this line. So you would have to add them manually if you want those settings on classes without them.

Can u direct me where in hero.info is affliction chance? I want alter few mods settings to 50/50 standard.

@kweynn A bit late since I haven't been very active on steam for a while, but a made an affliction/virtue mod for 60/40 and another one for 40/60 because might as well for completions sake.
