Klondyke Refrigerated Boxcar

The Klondyke Refrigerated Car Co. ran out of Seattle, part of the boom that the city experienced during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897. The founder, noted adventurer Harold Parkhurst, had made a modest fortune running fishing boats out of Skagway, Alaska, but a bout of pneumonia in 1899 sent him back to Seattle to recover. Undaunted, he founded Klondyke as an extension of his fishing company and was soon running refrigerated cars up and down the Washington coast.

Like the Mt. Baker Oil & Gas tanker at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2134601122, this was originally an excuse to use some of the old-timey-but-not-really-railroady fonts I've accumulated over time. Old refrigerator cars always had the coolest decoration on the sides, so I knew I wanted to design one at some point. It also gave me an opportunity for something more colorful than the rest of the EP&E series.
