[GS] Leugi's Aztec Rework

Description
Reworks The Aztecs for Gathering Storm, alongside changes for Montezuma to lead them.

The intention for the rework was to showcase the importance of Tlacaelel for all potential Aztec leaders, as well as adding Floating Gardens (Chinampas) as the base infraestructure. The idea was to provide a more interesting gameplay for the Aztecs. As a result of this the Tlachtli was moved to Montezuma, alongside some changes for it as well. Aside from this the Eagle Warrior has been moved further into the tech tree because I found it annoying that the Aztec unique unit unlocks at the start of the game in the Ancient Era.

I just wanted a personal take at making a unique leader for the Aztecs. Balancing Unique Governors is quite tricky, but I did test it ingame and I didn't feel it super OP, of course tweaks can be made over time.

If you detest the inclussion of a unique governor, you can delete Governors_AztecRework.sql from the mod files alongside my respect for you.

If you like having your instant Eagle Warriors then delete Units_AztecRework.sql

UA: Legend of the Five Suns
Can spend Builder Charges to complete 20% of a district's Production cost.
Has access to a unique Governor, Tlacaelel the Cihuacoatl.

UU: Eagle Warrior
Azte replacement for the Man-At-Arms unlocked at the discovery of Military Training.
Requires no strategic resources.
Can capture defeated enemy units, turning them into Builders for the Aztecs.

UTI: Chimapa
Unlocks the Builder ability to construct a Chinampa, unique to Aztecs.
Unlocked at the discovery of Shipbuilding.
May only be built on water tiles adjacent to at least two land tiles.
When placed next to a land tile with a Plantation or Farm Resource, copies the Resource for its own tile.
Luxury Resources may only be copied to one Chinampa at a time.
+0.5 Housing
+1 Food
+1 Food and +2 Faith when placed in Lake Tiles.
+1 Food for every adjacent Chinampa.
+1 Faith for every adjacent Chinampa after Civil Service.
+1 Food and +1 Faith from adjacent Seasteads..
Tourism from Faith when Flight is unlocked.

Unique Governor: Tlacaelel
Tlacaelel pushes the rise of the Mexica Empire with his unending wisdom. Heed his words, and assign him in owned cities to strengthen your military and cultivate Faith, or in city-states to assert control over your vassals.

Base Ability: Flower Wars
Defeating units within nine tiles provides, Faith, Great General and Great Prophet Points.

T1-Left: Calpixque Tributes
Improved Luxury Resources in this city provide an Amenity to 2 extra cities.
While established in a city-state, provides a copy of its Luxury resources to you.

T1-Right: Yaotl Birth Rituals
May purchase Melee Units and Encampment Buildings with Faith in this city.

T2-Left: Triple Alliance

The city-state units receive +10 Combat Strength.

T2-Right: Yaotequihua Training
Units within nine tiles receive double Experience from battles they initiate.

T3-Center: Cuahtlalli Grounds
Units within this nine tiles recieve additional +10 Healing per turn.
Levied Units gain +10 Healing more per turn.

Montezuma
LUA: Gifts for the Tlatoani
+1 Combat Strength for all units for each different improved Luxury Resource in Aztec territory.

LUB: Tlachtli
Aztec replacement for the Barracks when Montezuma is their leader.
Cannot be built if a Stable has already been built in this district.
Aside from the regular Barrack bonuses provides:
+1 Free Promotion for trained Melee, Ranged and Anti-Cavalry units if the city is Ecstatic.
+1 Amenity from Entertainment instead of Housing
+1 Faith per Specialist in this district.

The Chinampa has different assets when it has managed to copy a resource for its tile. However, this visual change only works for Vanilla, p0kiel's, Sukritact's and my own Latinamerican Resources.

When Alternate Economy mode is active the Chinampa no longer copies Luxuries as it was far too broken with the monopoly bonuses. This is however restored if you play with Monopoly++: Tycoons and Investors.

Additionally, this mod fixes the lack of Ethnicity in Aztec icons.

Special thanks to Lime for writing the Pedias and other texts.

Is there a way for me to move the Eagle Warrior to later in the tech tree? If so, will you please help me? I've been playing with Project 6T which adds a Post-Classical Era. That means that the Eagle Warrior is just way too strong, often time coming in before swordsman. That leaves two whole eras of unit superiority.

Hi Leugi,
your mod has been translated into German and the translation is now part of the Civilization VI Mods - German translations mod pack.
We would be more than happy if you could refer to the language translation in your mod description.

Hello. Can you make a separate mod for a unique improvement? I like the Aztecs the way they are. Just would like to add your Aztec improvement. It's too beautiful)

Are there any plans for this to be integrated into Civilizations Expanded like Sukritact’s khmer rework

isn't Eagle warrios too op to be discovered at Militar training? They have 48 power and can stomp any classical unit!

Glad to see this mod is still being updated! Having the eagle warriors be a bit more historically accurate era wise is a nice touch

Does the unique improvement copy the yields from the listed adjacent resources/improvements?

@NiK Since no one answered and for others, Eagle Warriors are now 45 strength and at Military Tradition. This means they still come rather late compared to swordsmen (Barring tech shuffle), but combined with the luxery boost to attack means they'll last all the way through the next era until Musketmen come into play, and they'll be able to contest knights with difficulty. Just coming back to Civ so I'm not sure how they'll feel, but I'm going to test them out.
