Description
Upgrade your Tek Saddles and Weapons!

Many an Ark player has lamented the fact that the tek-tier weapons and saddles are so incredibly awesome, but also quite expensive; and downright lackluster in performance compared to high-quality fabricated weapons. Introducing the Tek Upgrade Station, where tek-tier items can be actually end-game! Upgrade your weapons and saddles to Epic using red gems to introduce quality of life upgrades, like faster shots, longer range, more durability, and less overheat. Upgrade them again to Legendary using a ton of hard-earned materials to get a truly endgame weapon!

No necessary relation to the mod "Upgrade Station", although the purpose of this mod is to be included in any playthrough that also has that mod [NOTE: Epic and Legendary Tek cannot be upgraded by the regular Upgrade Station].

This mod introduces Epic and Legendary variants of all tek weapons and saddles (except for those added by Genesis), which are craftable within the Tek Upgrade Station, a new crafting station.
The Tek Upgrade Station itself is unlocked as a regular engram at level 70, is crafted in one's inventory, and costs what a tek foundation does plus another element. The Epic and Legendary Tek engrams are in tek-tier, but they can be manually unlocked for 0 engram points.
Epic and Legendary Tek weapons and saddles use the energy in red gems/sap to fire purple projectiles instead of blue (or glow pinkish purple rather than white, in the case of the sword), and this purple energy is stronger and faster. I have tried to make the improvements worth it while also still being balanced within an otherwise vanilla game.
The Epic Tek items cost an original tek item crafted in the replicator, as well as a decent amount of red gems (or red crystal sap).
The Legendary Tek items cost an Epic Tek item as well as 10x the cost of the Epic item (effectively).

PLEASE NOTE: Epic/Legendary Tek may be game-breaking if introduced in PvP -- I made it primarily as a PvE mod and balanced it around that playstyle; I have not really considered PvP elements, so add at your own risk if running a PvP server.

does not show a correct mod ID in details of mod also it had some issues running the mod on a server

Oh and no apologies necessary, I know how time consuming and difficult coding can be, especially on a broken game like ARK, like they clearly used the built in test game that came with UE4 lmao, so dont worry about it!

@Tetsu oh really, thats weird, I thought I was using the upgraded tek drake saddle in the boss arena, although the drakes were teleported in using awsome teleporter mod, so thats probably why I was able to get them in, also I noticed that there are ascendant versions of some of the upgrades, I think the tek rifle was one of them, I could only spawn in them at max 240-280 % damage, dont know if the blueprints could actually be found in the wild tho, its probably not easy and I know nothing about coding but would it be possible to make them say ascendant instead? either way thanks for putting your time into making ark better!

@Bill Dauterive Huh, that's weird. Only saddles should be disabled in boss battles. Whoops. I don't have the Dev Kit installed and I'm super out of practice with modding, so apologies on that.

The wording is a consequence of these being UE4 "children" of the original game items. I indeed spent a while trying to change it, because it bugged me as well, but I realized that those words are added elsewhere in the spaghetti UE4 code that I can't change unless I create entirely new entities and try to re-create all the dependencies, etc from scratch.

On the Island you can take the legendary tek rifle into the boss battles but you cannot use it, but you can use it on the overseer, also is there a way to remove the primitive tag from the items, its kinda weird having an epic primitive tek rifle and a legendary primitive tek rifle?

@milliepillie7 I have no idea actually. I will say that all these weapons/saddles are "children" (unreal engine term) of their vanilla counterparts in the game code, so I would strongly assume they would inherit the inability to work in particular boss fights.

@Crabby Stack? I believe no, they likely won't. This mod creates new items entirely, so they will be treated separately, I assume.
