Oh and no apologies necessary, I know how time consuming and difficult coding can be, especially on a broken game like ARK, like they clearly used the built in test game that came with UE4 lmao, so dont worry about it!

@Tetsu oh really, thats weird, I thought I was using the upgraded tek drake saddle in the boss arena, although the drakes were teleported in using awsome teleporter mod, so thats probably why I was able to get them in, also I noticed that there are ascendant versions of some of the upgrades, I think the tek rifle was one of them, I could only spawn in them at max 240-280 % damage, dont know if the blueprints could actually be found in the wild tho, its probably not easy and I know nothing about coding but would it be possible to make them say ascendant instead? either way thanks for putting your time into making ark better!

@Bill Dauterive Huh, that's weird. Only saddles should be disabled in boss battles. Whoops. I don't have the Dev Kit installed and I'm super out of practice with modding, so apologies on that.

The wording is a consequence of these being UE4 "children" of the original game items. I indeed spent a while trying to change it, because it bugged me as well, but I realized that those words are added elsewhere in the spaghetti UE4 code that I can't change unless I create entirely new entities and try to re-create all the dependencies, etc from scratch.

On the Island you can take the legendary tek rifle into the boss battles but you cannot use it, but you can use it on the overseer, also is there a way to remove the primitive tag from the items, its kinda weird having an epic primitive tek rifle and a legendary primitive tek rifle?

@milliepillie7 I have no idea actually. I will say that all these weapons/saddles are "children" (unreal engine term) of their vanilla counterparts in the game code, so I would strongly assume they would inherit the inability to work in particular boss fights.

@Crabby Stack? I believe no, they likely won't. This mod creates new items entirely, so they will be treated separately, I assume.

@Plastic Puppet Thanks for the kind words! It depends. First of all, there is a 0% chance my current rig can run ASA's DevKit well lol. I'm planning to upgrade, but waiting for cyber monday. I would certainly be interested in doing it, though! I do have a full-time job, so no promises at all on timeline, but yeah I'd say I have all intentions to migrate at some point.

Have this on a 12 server cluster, great mod. We might have something set wrong, When we transfer between server the item made is lost. All servers have the mod and setting same. Did we miss a setting?

I would LOVE to try this mod out. One thing that bothered the ever living SHIT out of me is that the Tek Railgun was nerfed SO damn hard that it was useless! I didn't even mind that it overheats and deal an incredibly amount of lesser damage per shot. But its less damage than a Primitive Pump Shotgun and on top of that its got less range than a standard bow! Knowing that you made that Tek Railgun alone stronger with more range and less overheating im so happy!

I would sugest to reduce the explosion (throw-target-around, no idea how it is called) off the tek rifle, it makes it hard to hit more than 1 time as target is thrown out of line of fire or throws the corpse around (for smal dinos)

other than this it is a solid upgrade, especially the improved durability.

is it just me or does the epic tek rifle do less damage (tested on a training dummy with chest shots and head shots) the legendary only does about double damage compared to the vanilla rifle, is this normal? (fyi vanilla did just over 500, epic did around 340, legendary did just over 1,000, and all shots were chest shots on the training dummy)

@darrencraun I tested the tek bow and then did the math on putting the tek bow into the regular Upgrade Station (which this mod is specifically designed to complement), and the regular Upgrade Station seems to work just fine, if a bit expensive. That's why I didn't pursue Epic and Legendary variants of it.

Does this mod relay on any DLC`s? I know some people have issues with mods and do not have the right DLC for the game... even if the mod is used on "The Island"

I have really used a long time seaching for error in mods when people cant join my dedicated servers, and after endless time searcing and no error was found they say they cant join some of my servers because they dont have the DLC`s but can join other servers with vanilla settings (*Facepalm*)

@The Dragon King You're right that using the Upgrade Station will upgrade the armor value of the vanilla tek saddles to some ridiculous number. However, because of how damage mitigation math in Ark works, this isn't actually as significant a difference from Legendary Tek saddle armor as you might think. Also, you don't get the damage bonus and other QoL upgrades that Epic and Legendary Tek give :) so it's up to you

actually with how it is now even if i upgrade the armor with like upgrade station the vanilla one can reach 634.8 armor ( Rex Tek Saddle ) with these they dont go up in armor as upgraded sadly that would have to be redone since its been a long time since they have been introduced.

@ShadzMadz This mod has a central focus around upgrading assets that exist in the game. I could look into creating a standalone wyvern tek saddle mod (I'll be honest I have no idea why that doesn't exist yet; the static meshes at least are in the game files, just sitting there unused). But that would take a backseat to updating this one.

If i may make a request, Theres a handful of mods that add a tek wyvern saddle but they always bundle it in HUGE mods with a bunch of other nonsense that my server members don't want. This mod looks like it does exactly what we want tho, do you think you could add the tek wyvern saddle to this mod?

ABOUT A GENESIS UPDATE, FOR ALL INTERESTED:

I am interested in creating epic and legendary variants of the absolutely pitiful Tek Claws. While the Tek Claws can be upgraded by the Upgrade Station, they still suck and are super expensive.

I am interested in creating epic and legendary variants of the Astrodelphis Tek Saddle, where the epic and legendary saddles would have the ability to hover while in starfighter mode, and the legendary variant is *slightly* buffed (it's stronk already).

The Tek Bow is upgraded perfectly fine by the Upgrade Station, so I don't see a need to include variants of it in my mod.

I am not *super* enthused about any of the other items as I haven't touched them in-game, but if you personally would like to see something from Genesis 1 or 2 in this mod, please feel free to request it here in the comments.

@TyrantLyzardKing Ahhhh gotcha I understand. Yeah that was my bad on phrasing. The tables aren't supposed to work together; the TUS is just a natural choice for a server/playthrough/etc. that also includes the regular Upgrade Station. I'll update the language so that's more clear, thanks for the heads-up.

@Tetsu Fair enough. I will try to add the Epic & Legendary Railgun to the upgrade station's blacklist (I think it has an option for that). And yes, the vanilla Railgun can be upgraded normally. But the bug is there in case you ever wish to fix it. Just assumed you'd want to know about the issue since you mentioned they are meant to work together.
