ReDiS is acronim for Recoil, Dispersion, Sway.
Vanilla only.


What this all about?
Well... i was... unhappy.
Specifically i was unhappy with an Arma3 recoils. To be exact with a machineguns on bipods. That things jump up and hangs "in the air" than fired in bursts. You can hit with the first round and throw the next in the dirt. Or overwise. Another peculiar "feature" - guns on bipods "jumps back" to original aiming point after trigger was released. I do not believe its to be the case in the real world.

So... simple "fix" apeared to be a half year endeavour in the wondorous world of weapon handling.

The results are:

1. EACH vanilla and DLC (exept Global Mobilisation) weapon has unique recoil (based on RW perfomance).
2. Recoil does not folow bizzare "up and right to the Moon" pattern.
3. Recoil is MUCH more random.
4. Dispersion of some weapons changed.
5. Sway (both idle and winded) changed: less up-down, more left-right.
6. Winded sway ("shaky hands") reduced to half on light weapons (up to 5 kg).
7. Heavy handheld weapons (not shoulder launched) sway and inertia increased significally.
8. "Hold breath" efficiency halved and its time doubled (15 sec).
9. Pistols have slightly wider FOV to increase SA.
10. Some weapons has altered ROF (Mk200, Navid).

As 24 July 2020 the mod v 0.95 is in early Beta, i.e. it's fully functioning exept of some minor bugs and necessary tweaks.

I also don't like the out of breath and breath holding modifications, as I think the default ACE stuff is fine, and I think you could go more aggressive on the recoil steepness past the low calibers. 308, for instance, should be more uncontrollable when you're standing and on full auto. Recoil Coefficient Changer is bit too simplistic, and the Animated version improves it while taking a very long time for Arma 3 to load and being a bit too aggressive in the foot of the recoil curve, where even 9mm and 5.56 seem to have too much recoil unless I want to have no recoil at all. My favorite, though, is probably the Animated version and just putting up with the long initial startup time. Without the breath stuff on yours and just more aggressive on the curve shoulder, though, you'd be on top.

Makes the vanilla weapons a million times better. Vanilla bipods suck and are only good for returning aim to a certain spot, not reducing recoil's effects. They are much better now. Great mod.

Hi! Amazing concept for a mod and I will use it as it is also but are you still planning to carry these changes to the RHS and CUP mods as well?
