I also don't like the out of breath and breath holding modifications, as I think the default ACE stuff is fine, and I think you could go more aggressive on the recoil steepness past the low calibers. 308, for instance, should be more uncontrollable when you're standing and on full auto. Recoil Coefficient Changer is bit too simplistic, and the Animated version improves it while taking a very long time for Arma 3 to load and being a bit too aggressive in the foot of the recoil curve, where even 9mm and 5.56 seem to have too much recoil unless I want to have no recoil at all. My favorite, though, is probably the Animated version and just putting up with the long initial startup time. Without the breath stuff on yours and just more aggressive on the curve shoulder, though, you'd be on top.

what soundmod
Reticuli 26 Jun, 2022 @ 4:57pm
This is WAY more sway than Align.

"100% comparible"

I assume you mean compatible.

Makes the vanilla weapons a million times better. Vanilla bipods suck and are only good for returning aim to a certain spot, not reducing recoil's effects. They are much better now. Great mod.

Please add the support. Very promising mod.

nvm, different mod was the culprit

Great mod but for some reason its giving me unlimited stamina

Looks fantastic, hopefully there will be an RHS version in the future.

Hi! Amazing concept for a mod and I will use it as it is also but are you still planning to carry these changes to the RHS and CUP mods as well?
Koger 28 Nov, 2020 @ 10:30pm
can you make a reduced sway version of this
Yo Gabba Gabba! 25 Nov, 2020 @ 8:02am
Absolutely no chance of this working with ACE eh?
Predator14 21 Nov, 2020 @ 6:49pm
unnecessary.
Lucas 1 Oct, 2020 @ 6:54pm
How can I edit your mod and put 0% weapon sway?
Stein 28 Sep, 2020 @ 3:05am
Very nice mod, the "up and right to the Moon" recoil in vanilla made me "bend" my aim back down constantly, as if my arms were made out of a wire armature.

Hope you can make a compatibility patch for CUP weapons, otherwise a generic template for non-vanilla weapons would already make it a lot better.
Koger 26 Aug, 2020 @ 4:59pm
could you get this to work with AI and vehicles

@Urban
There is a tons of them.
I can only guarantee The Pig. Actually already done.
Urban 11 Aug, 2020 @ 6:36am
Looking awesome! As CUP dev I hope you will make compatiblity for CUP weapons.

@justokin
Well... its bit complicated matter. From what i have seen in RL full auto videos AR-15 family does HAVE a muzzle rise. And it's more noticeable compared to AK-74 (more powerful 5.56 round). HK416, Stoner LMG (and its derivatives like KALMG-Mk200, Negev-Navid) have not rise at all.
I suppose the main cause of a rise is the hit of a recoiling breech and a mass of weapon.

@Jobo
Sure. RHS is the primary goal. Vanilla is like a proof of concept.

@Gold John King
1. 100% comparible in recoil department. ACE doesnt deal with that.
2. 100% comparible in sway. ACE doesnt deal with that.
3. Optional "ace_realisticdispersion" has some interference, but i do not beleive it should create major issues.

@CPL. Ski
Absolutely true.240 stable as a rock. Even ligher weapons like PKMs do not jump around.
Vanilla doen not allow proper usage of MGs i.e. firing short burst, so it was th most annoyng thing.
justokin 8 Aug, 2020 @ 11:35am
Hey could you add real world recoil patterns based on things like rifling in barrel or AR-15
straight-line recoil design"? Some guns noticeably, "AK" platform vs "AR-15" platform the recoil patterns will be different. With the straight-line recoil design, guns should perform like @CPL. Ski mentioned. Great idea, good job so far man
Jobo 5 Aug, 2020 @ 12:34pm
Hey Pvt_Kelly, I was wondering if you get it finalized to where you want it to be, would you consider supporting non-vanilla mods? I would love to have support for my "Project True Viking" mod with this in the future. Really enjoying the mod thus far! :)
Rengjøringsmiddel 5 Aug, 2020 @ 11:18am
nice! now bipod's will make sense!
morons always 5 Aug, 2020 @ 5:41am
That's a good point, Ski. I guess it would be nice to have the game assume you are applying pressure and holding the MG down on the bipod from the beginning. It should be doing that if you use the "hold breath" key or something. But since it doesn't, I think I will give the mod a shot.
Gold John King 4 Aug, 2020 @ 9:12pm
So does this compact with ACE? (Your vanilla means only vanilla weapons are affected, right?)
Skee 11B/CIB 4 Aug, 2020 @ 8:55pm
I was a machine-gunner in the Army Infantry. I have alot of experience on the M240B and the M249 SAW. I absolutely hate when games allow the MG's to be used with bipods then the muzzle flips upwards. That's not how it works at all. In the prone with the bipod deployed, the recoil pulses straight back into your shoulder. There is no upwards movement at all. Then when you have a lip to push the bipod into and you dig your toes in and apply forward pressure, the recoil is even more manageable with muzzle gasses and disturbed dirt/ dust being the only thing that's really obscuring your sight picture. Modern machineguns are incredibly accurate depending on the system, like the M240B.

They're not really laser beams in real life on full auto unless you control them yourself. You can do that in Arma, a mod doesn't have to do it for you. It's just my opinion and preference for the challenge that the original design offers.
Trygon 4 Aug, 2020 @ 3:18pm
Anyone who's actually shot a gun would agree with the changes here
morons always 4 Aug, 2020 @ 7:17am
To me it just looks like a recoil reduction mod, for those who sprint too often and who don't want to manually control their weapon. A lot of the choices you've made I just don't agree with, but that's the magic of choosing which mod to use. So I commend you on your efforts but I can't say I'd personally use it.

I miss pre-Marksmen DLC recoil :(
