The Olympus was designed as an entirely self sufficient station containing more than enough cargo space, living arrangements and utilities to allow a very large crew to live comfortably with no contact from outsiders for as long as it is required to do so.

Its impressive size and diverse range of rooms has led to the Olympus having a culture and civilisation all of its own, owing much of that to its offices, bar, clothing store, luxury residence, communal bunkhouse and civilian laboratory.
The Olympus comes equipped with an arrivals and departures area reminiscent of a subway station and a top of the line carrier-grade shuttle dock for ease of crew transfer and shuttlecraft hauling.

Due to its size and its extensive suite of systems and redundancies the reactors are built for sheer power output with little regard for fuel efficiency, all excess energy gets stored in the battery cores for later use which allows the reactors to run empty for a period of time without compromising the wellbeing of the sub.

Tight navigation has also been aided with the addition of a SLOW mode being added to the navigations room which will drastically reduce the speed of the submarine and quieten the engines for maximum safety when moving through tight rock formations or trying to sneak around dangerous enemies without disturbing them.
