HV, Tier 3, Unlock Level 15, Class 1

The D.R.O.P. (Deployable Resupply and Omni-directional Protection) is a compact mobile base designed to be deployed in a combat zone by a Condor lift vessel (see link below). It supports a ground-assault squad with a full complement of utilities: healing station, cloning chamber, armor locker, O2 supply, fridge, and a constructor. Equipped with 12 retractable turrets deployed at all four corners, the D.R.O.P. offers 360 degree protection from drone attacks, advancing soldiers, and the occasional wayward predator, assuring a secure and safe respawn point.

Instructions to add a shield are detailed on a help LCD at the rear of the vehicle. This requires upgrading to tier 4.

Construction:
- Combat steel outer hull, cargo extensions on interior and floor

Defenses:
- 4 rocket turrets

- 3.6k ammo
- 2 small cargo boxes
- Can support approximately 300 T of cargo @ 1G

Because of its intended use as a spacecraft-deployed mobile spawn point the thrusters on the D.R.O.P. are designed for docking and positioning, not for traversing terrain. When unloaded it can navigate hills on a 1G planet. Loaded it can still dock to the Condor but will require a flat surface for traversal. You may need to transfer cargo to the Condor first before docking on any high-G worlds (tested on a 4.2G world). Hover boosters are installed to provide an extra kick if necessary.

Docking to the Condor can be finicky. I recommend using the 'O' key to first balance the Condor, and then hold the 'O' key in the D.R.O.P. to keep it level while aligning with the LCDs on the underside of the Condor. It is recommended to only dock with the turrets retracted, as it seems to avoid collision issues.

A drone hatch was antithetical to the design of a stationary armored bunker. Once the turrets have cleared the area of unfriendlies you can step out onto the ramp to launch your drone, then use the drone to push yourself back inside.

Also, I'm sorry: due to seating restrictions on docked vehicles in Empyrion you can't actually use this as a drop pod. If you toggle your Condor from faction to private temporarily you can detach the D.R.O.P. while in flight, but you can't actually fly with anyone seated anywhere in it. Maybe someday...
