TrainingSession

Description
*This is abandoned, feel free to use the code how you wish, unlikely to have updates*

These events allow a combat training session, a school to teach/upgrade vassals and family, and a jousting tournament. Due to other responsibilities updates have slowed down, will however add more when I get time.

- Plan to add more events to the school.
- Plan to add more events to the training session, aware sometimes no event
- Plan to add more events to the planning joust event line
- Plan to make more events also but will finish these three first before moving on.

As requested by XANTARES PEEK I have added a school event which allows you to train one of a selection of vassals and upgrade any skill point by 1 or prowess by 2.
*Now the abilities are traits and scale with each visit if you intend on upgrading the same character repeatedly*

As requested by itsjustmyshadow I added a jousting tournament.

All events have a 5 year cool down except school which is 12 months.

Feel free to suggest improvements and i'll work on it when I can. Also if you notice bugs or errors let me know and i'll fix them.

*Compatibility*
This mod uses its own files apart from the main game files so its compatible with other mods that do the same. May not be compatible with overhaul mods. Will update as new versions are released. If anyone has issues, post a comment.

*Save game compatible*

*Not achievement compatible*

Yeah this is relatively abandoned right now, I have little time due to work. If anyone wishes to re-purpose the code, feel free.

ok, I'll be honest, I didn't start a game with this mod, but when I was making my first character I just saw how far this mod can go (+10 stat????!) and it just gets out of hand, I will use your mod, but only when I see some reasonable stat modifiers, good luck mate

Yeah indeed, still did't get round to it yet. Life does indeed. I probably will have the bit done you asked for probably over May which is a tad more realistic.

No worries take your time, for most of us modding is a fun hobby and IRL takes priority, at least you know that with that one extra tag everything seems to work with the latest version of the game :)

Hey Xenvar, haven't really updated this one in a while really as was really busy with other things, I will try to have a look at your suggestions and possibly implement them this weekend.

Have you thought about creating multiple outcomes to the education decision tied to learning checks and checks based on the skill in question? Something along the lines of the following

Pick the skill to learn
an event between you and the chosen character practicing the skill with a skill check against eachother, with a small variable reward/penalty if you win/lose
2nd event with a learning check for both you and the chosen character to see if 1 both or neither of you learned from the practice
closing event with the results

I love this mod, thank you for taking the time to make it because it really does fit in nicely with the base game :)

The decison for Jousting Tournaments appears for both tribal and clan governments but does not function, a quick fix for that is to just add the following to the decision
is_shown = {
has_government = feudal_government
is_landed = yes
highest_held_title_tier > tier_barony
}

It does however give me the idea that you could have tribal or clan themed tournaments to provide a similar funtion if you wanted to take the time to do it.

Hey, I played around with the console with your mod and the trait IDs for the last 2 prowess traits are the same as the IDs for the first two trainer traits. Entering the add_trait prowess_9 gives the character the novice trainer trait. I presume the in game event to train your courtier to that level would do the same. Just a heads up if this helps. Changing the trainer IDs seems to give the right trait with the console.

Updated it as requested, women compete if faith allows it. School cool down is a year, and should give five unique actors now instead of randomly sometimes the same people.
