Yeah this is relatively abandoned right now, I have little time due to work. If anyone wishes to re-purpose the code, feel free.

ok, I'll be honest, I didn't start a game with this mod, but when I was making my first character I just saw how far this mod can go (+10 stat????!) and it just gets out of hand, I will use your mod, but only when I see some reasonable stat modifiers, good luck mate

Yeah indeed, still did't get round to it yet. Life does indeed. I probably will have the bit done you asked for probably over May which is a tad more realistic.

No worries take your time, for most of us modding is a fun hobby and IRL takes priority, at least you know that with that one extra tag everything seems to work with the latest version of the game :)
Steve  [author] 15 Apr, 2021 @ 2:06pm
Hey Xenvar, haven't really updated this one in a while really as was really busy with other things, I will try to have a look at your suggestions and possibly implement them this weekend.
Xenvar 15 Apr, 2021 @ 12:37pm
Have you thought about creating multiple outcomes to the education decision tied to learning checks and checks based on the skill in question? Something along the lines of the following

Pick the skill to learn
an event between you and the chosen character practicing the skill with a skill check against eachother, with a small variable reward/penalty if you win/lose
2nd event with a learning check for both you and the chosen character to see if 1 both or neither of you learned from the practice
closing event with the results

I love this mod, thank you for taking the time to make it because it really does fit in nicely with the base game :)

The decison for Jousting Tournaments appears for both tribal and clan governments but does not function, a quick fix for that is to just add the following to the decision
is_shown = {
has_government = feudal_government
is_landed = yes
highest_held_title_tier > tier_barony
}

It does however give me the idea that you could have tribal or clan themed tournaments to provide a similar funtion if you wanted to take the time to do it.
Steve  [author] 13 Oct, 2020 @ 12:08pm
Ah dude thanks for that ill change it as soon as possible.

Hey, I played around with the console with your mod and the trait IDs for the last 2 prowess traits are the same as the IDs for the first two trainer traits. Entering the add_trait prowess_9 gives the character the novice trainer trait. I presume the in game event to train your courtier to that level would do the same. Just a heads up if this helps. Changing the trainer IDs seems to give the right trait with the console.

Updated it as requested, women compete if faith allows it. School cool down is a year, and should give five unique actors now instead of randomly sometimes the same people.
Steve  [author] 18 Sep, 2020 @ 9:54am
Yep I switched it to men in the short term, working on it tonight so will change the gender to be aligned with faith. Regarding the cool down Currently I set 10 levels for each skill, I can change the cool down to any time period say a year. Will add these both tonight.
Spartango 16 Sep, 2020 @ 3:44pm
Re: restricting it to men: you should have it align with the gender views of the culture/faith. If genders are viewed as equal or women are preferred, then there shouldn't be any issue with women participating in jousts.
Spartango 16 Sep, 2020 @ 3:41pm
Can you add a game rule to configure the cooldown? Or lower it; 5 years to wait before training the same vassal again seems a bit much. You realistically probably only get 8-9 training sessions (40-45 years) before old age starts getting in the way.
Steve  [author] 13 Sep, 2020 @ 2:13pm
Guess you meant will I change it into German, other than using google translate i'm not adept enough in German to do so, sorry
duestere Legende 13 Sep, 2020 @ 9:53am
k, deselect

All the English text can be found in the localisation folder inside the mod folder.
duestere Legende 13 Sep, 2020 @ 12:11am
not readyable in german, could you make copy english text for that we can read it?
Steve  [author] 9 Sep, 2020 @ 11:11am
Ah right, yeah I noticed something similar in mine. I will make it so you can only fight men, and can't participate unless you are a man. Will also attempt to change the scope of that depending on equality of religions so if female's have equal rights they can take part.

Also I will change the scope as you say for jousters to only be commanders or above.
ItsJustMyShadow 9 Sep, 2020 @ 10:26am
You should probably narrow everything to landed characters + knights, without courtiers.
ItsJustMyShadow 9 Sep, 2020 @ 10:25am
Yeah, but when I tried your new decision my female ruler jousted my female courtier so it was immersion breaking as hell.
Steve  [author] 9 Sep, 2020 @ 10:09am
Fair points, I will allow options for the ruler to take part or not, and follow these suggestions. As far as i'm aware in the middle ages kings are rulers took part in jousting also. King Henry II died in a joust historically so I will leave the option in their and add events to kill or be killed via scheme too.

Also I can do some setup questions for the joust I.e setting up, cooks etc. also more prestige for more spending would make sense. Obviously to make it as you are asking I can and will do, but it will take more time. Currently working on the main joust then I will add the other aspects you mentioned.
ItsJustMyShadow 9 Sep, 2020 @ 8:19am
Regarding jousting: 1. the event should more about organizing this as a ruler, so more on spending money, hiring cooks, organizing beuty contest etc. 2. there should be option for ruler to joust. 3. Females should be somehow restricted from jousting and instead contest in the beauty competition.
Steve  [author] 9 Sep, 2020 @ 7:38am
The joust will have more events probably later tonight. Will work on the school too to include more events today if I can by Sunday both so be similar in depth to the current training session.
Steve  [author] 9 Sep, 2020 @ 7:10am
Yeah they are just placeholders that I will be upgrading. It was more to have the framework to work in. Ill add as I go
ItsJustMyShadow 9 Sep, 2020 @ 5:14am
Nev decision (school and just) are very low on quality..
Steve  [author] 7 Sep, 2020 @ 2:35am
Well they aren't entirely random, the list I was using goes through high ranking to low ranking. So its highly likely that you will get kings, dukes, heirs and counts before courtiers and then just random people.
PARA BRAHMAM 7 Sep, 2020 @ 2:16am
I mean try for the players vassals and courts as first choice, if not possible then get random characters and I can hire them as vassals once their stat is increased enough. But the problem with random characters is they wont have family and will bring succession problems.
Steve  [author] 7 Sep, 2020 @ 1:46am
Indeed, that's what I was hoping to do, as for the training of vassals etc. I will add it in this mod. All of those others sound like good ideas to so will probably try and add some of those, thanks for the suggestions.
ItsJustMyShadow 7 Sep, 2020 @ 1:16am
I very much like it, thank you! Do you want to continue making similar activities mods? We could use something like summer fair, archery contests, jousting tournaments etc.
Steve  [author] 7 Sep, 2020 @ 12:49am
Training vassals and commanders would be interesting too, I can look into it sure. Generally due to the list system CK3 uses i'm getting 10 (or whatever no.) random characters that are free. I could probably do a session that gets random characters and you decide who to train from them. Were you meaning something like that? Or more specific to choosing a specific character and then training them?
PARA BRAHMAM 7 Sep, 2020 @ 12:31am
cool, can you add an event to train vassals and commanders skills? Like I want to improve stewardship stat of one of my vassal, then I will trigger the event and add him to steward training or a commander martial skills training. In ck3 we already have teaching events randomly from other AI characters. Maybe you can look into my request through this.
Steve  [author] 7 Sep, 2020 @ 12:28am
Similar to that of hunt and feast in that it has random events, often they will increase or decrease stress depending on your characters traits. Some bonuses to prowess, and the skill you will gain is three levels of prowess upgrade. L1 - 3 prowess, L2 - 6, L3 - 9. Also minor piety and prestige gains from certain events, and 150 for finishing.
PARA BRAHMAM 7 Sep, 2020 @ 12:24am
What does it improve, like traits , stats , commander skills?
