Wren - The Cosplayer

Description
Wren is a cosplayer with a few loose screws and a cute staff that casts fireballs.
The insaner she gets the stronger she becomes. That's the power of imagination at work!

-- Wren's Firestaff is kinda special! --

So you know it casts fireballs but did you know it also lights up?
Yep, it's kind of an emergency night light!
And to make things better, it recharges on its own!

(Wren's Firestaff may cause huge sanity drain. Ask your doctor if it's right for you.)
Just kidding, but yeah, fireballs consume fuel and do drain lots of brainjuice!
A few other notes:
-The staff breaks if the fuel runs out. (you can find it in the fire/light tab)
-Also, she's the only one who can hold and use it. Sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

-- What About Status Bonus? --

Despite being short sleeved, her coat is quite warm, allowing her to last a few seconds more during winter! Sadly that also means that she doesn't like summer much.

Wren has gotten used to less food after hours of nonstop work on her outfits, so enjoy a slightly lower hunger rate!

And the cherry on top is: The less sane she is, the stronger she gets!
Imagining herself fighting weird shadows and monsters sure gives her the adrenalin to get twice as strong.

STATS
Health:180
Hunger:150
Sanity:150

damage multiplier: 0.9 - 2.25
hunger rate: 60 calories per day
Initial inventory: Wren's Firestaff

I made Wren while waiting for my sister's feedback on the character I made for her.
Hasn't been properly tested so any feedback is welcome :-)

bugs, oh, bugs...
- hats are a bit large on her head and armors don't replace her clothes. They might look funny on.
- Didn't figure out how to stop the fire projectile animation from happening when the casting fails.

I understand how this character might be a bit overpowered, but I still love the design!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll take it into consideration.

I actually haven't played since 2015 (and when I did it wasn't for long) so I wouldn't know some (maybe lots) of what you've mentioned. I had thought of making a character for new or casual players that don't really know how to play, like myself, but it seems that I just made it too easy.

About coming up with a different play style: I might have to play the game more in order to think of something. It's harder to create something new for a game I don't know much about. Just like feedbacks, suggestions are welcome.
About the staff: I didn't know it was that good because it can't launch more than 3-4 fireballs before the fuel and sanity is depleted and the light's duration and range are worse than a torch's. Perhaps reducing it to one fireball and making the recharge time longer (or removing it) can make things a little fairer?

Well, unless I can think of something different, on the next update I'll nerf the strength boost.

Usually, I don't like pointing out flaws because of people who hate anything directed against them, but your character has a good amount of flawed design:

First, your character powers off sanity. Because of how sanity works, this character is Wolfgang, but for sanity instead of hunger. If you stay insane, you can fight anything that lowers sanity, like nightmares easier than ever! With dark sword, this character can stay at lunar island forever with permanent damage boost while there!

Second, your character is Wilson with a free weapon that gives infinite light from the start with recharge ability, has higher hunger and easier to survive - the damage penalty is meaningless, and the boost is too good to ignore, by staying at medium sanity. This character can be either a offensive Wigfrid, or Wolfgang with less health but no food hassle.

I suggest making something more creative, like different play styles, not "Wolfgang but easier".
