Description
What this mod does:
This mod was made at the request of Mordor_citizen. Its intended goal is to add more variety to the number of npc's you might encounter on your travels by adding spawns that wouldn't typically be found in each area. Adding to the illusion that the people of Kenshi travel around rather than just staying in their own respective areas. The results of this are that you will see more battles between factions, more animals that you wouldn't normally see in certain areas, and all together just a little more chaos in the world. I called this Casual Mode because in my testing I found that I could make it a LOT more intense and dangerous to walk around. So I do plan on doing a more intense version once this one is complete. But this version is by no means danger free. You will encounter more dangerous spawns than you would in vanilla. But it could get a LOT more dangerous.

The following zones have been done.

  • Border Zone
  • Stenn Desert
  • The Swamp
  • Greenbeach
  • Stobe's Garden
  • The Pits East
  • The Pits
  • Shem
  • The Great Desert

More are coming on a regular basis, but I am uploading it now to get more player testing in so I can get feedback on whether certain groups need to be increased or decreased in how often they are seen. If you want to see more of a specific spawn, please just speak up in the comments section and I'll see if I can make it happen. I will be updating this mod regularly for the forseeable future, tweaking current areas and adding new areas as they are completed.

This apparently does work with Genesis Project.

A mod which will go good with this one, it allows you to recruit the Lost Drone characters which in vanilla only wander around in a limited area. I plan on including that non-unique character in the spawns of (almost) every zone. So you should be able to recruit a ton of lost drones just by traveling around the world by the time this mod gets finished. You can check that mod out HERE

Thanks for continuing to work on the mod. The list of changes compared to the beginning is striking. Now I will definitely try to play again!

Definitely makes the world more unpredictable in a great way. Works well with Random Enemies Squads' Numbers if you really want to stay on the edge of your seat.. :cozykcdaxe:

updated to version 10

- Added The Great Desert

next area hasn't been decided for sure yet, but I'm leaning towards Okran's Gulf still.

updated to version 9

- Added The Crags.

Next area on the list is going to be The Great Desert unless someone comments and wants a different area done first. Then maybe I'll do Okran's Gulf but as usual, not written in stone.

Updated to version 7

- Added The Pits
- Added Shem
- Added A few more turtles where I thought they made sense in some of the areas I already did.

The Crags is next on the list. Then I'll move to another area. Since I haven't gotten feedback on that issue yet I'll probably just pick one at random. Who knows.

Updated to version 6. No new zones added, just a small update.

- Added a solo swamp turtle that wanders around the Border Zone, Stenn Desert, and Stobe's Garden
- Added small group of 1 - 3 swamp turtles to the same areas.

These were requested by someone and were added. I haven't had much time for updating this mod but zones will be added in the next few days.

Updated to version 5.

- Added The Pits East
- Increased spawn chances of Robot Spider Group by 10% because I wasn't seeing them anywhere and figured they would be cool to see everywhere. They're easy enough to avoid combat with, so it shouldn't add too much danger level to traveling around. Plus, they are just cool in my opinion.

The Crags and The Pits will probably be next in line. Not set in stone as usual though. If someone wants me to put a different area in before those I'm open to suggestion. After those areas are added I'll probably move to a different part of the map. I'm thinking maybe something in the north. Like The Great Desert, Sinkuun, and Bast. But we'll see how things go.

Updated to version 4. Added 2 zones this time.

- Added Greenbeach zone
- Added Stobe's Garden zone
- Added a couple new squads (just smaller versions of already existing squads because you wouldn't expect to see huge numbers of starving bandits this far from their home region. Same with shek patrols and maybe one more. I forget.

Will probably work on The Pits East and The Crags next but that's not set in stone or anything.

Updated to version 3. The Greenbeach area and surrounding zones will be the next places I work on.

Changes in this update:
- Added The Swamp zone.
- Added another spawn to the Borderzone and Stenn Desert areas (Water Clan squad).
- Fixed an oversight which kept cannibals and other groups from spawning even though they were on the list. My bad.

Please remember to provide as much feedback as you can so I can make this mod as good as it can be. If you think something is missing from the spawn lists or think something spawns too frequently let me know so I can add spawns or adjust numbers. This is very much a work in progress and I need input from the users.

@JoeInh okay. I'll probably make that area next on the list then. You would have to do an import to see any changes though I would think.
