Unique Rules

Shogunate
Shogunate is an Empire-tier title that has the all of Japan as its De Jure. You can create it through the Found a New Shogunate decision. The title will be destroyed if another dynasty takes it from the current owner.

Call To War
AI characters are less likely to accept your call to war than vanilla. Their opinion must be at least 50 for a defensive war and 75 for an offensive war.

Unify Japan
The Sengoku struggle unlocks the powerful Casus Belli 'Unify Japan' to speed up the unification. With it, you can declare war on neighboring rulers without restriction.

Meritocracy
The Sengoku struggle also allows you to create a claim to the title of your liege. It is equivalent to the Meritocracy perk in vanilla.

End of Sengoku
After you get the Shogunate title, you can end the Sengoku period by choosing one of the three Sengoku struggle endings. The game will display the ending.

Special Buildings
Special buildings such as mines, trading ports, and gunsmiths are on the map. Each building has powerful modifiers, but only the top liege can benefit from them.

Special Innovations
Arquebus and Cannon are special innovations, but you can't unlock them on your own. They are gradually unlocked through unique events.

Coalition
If you expand your realm too much, you will become the target of a coalition and receive a severe diplomatic penalty. The coalition will be dissolved after you expand larger.

Imperial Court
You can gain the ranks and posts of the Imperial Court with decisions. Each of them has a unique modifier.

Nanboku-cho (Northern and Southern Courts) period (1333-1392)
The Emperor (Southern Court) and the Shogun (Northern Court) fight each other during this period. There are other unique rules:

1. Independent rulers are divided into two sides. They have unique traits, and the map shows them in blue and red colors.
2. Each side has a 'Unify Courts' Casus Belli against the other side. It is similar to the 'Unify Japan' Casus Belli.
3. A leader of each side can end the period with a decision.
4. A member of each side can change sides (betray) with a decision.

they probably aren't bothering to update this until the all under heaven dlc releases since it'll likely come out around the end of the year, break every mod (probably) and add many features for this mod that the developer will add and other stuff. if y'all want to play the mod just go back to 1.15 and you can.

There are a few mistakes made, can't name them all on the top of my head but mostly dynasty ones. The Shimazu Clan for example should have the Minamoto Clan trait since the founder of the clan was Tadahisa, son of Minamoto no Yoritomo. Grandfather of Ashikaga Yoshiyasu should be Fujiwara no Suenori of the Southern branch of Fujiwara (Nan-ke). Missing dynasty members from many clans. Overall the mod is exceptional.
