HMS B-11 WW1 Submarine [Explosive Torpedoes - DLC]

Description
1:1 replica of HMS B-11, a WW1 B-Class coastal submarine which under the command of Norman Douglas Holbrook entered the Dardanelles and sunk the Ottoman battleship Mesudiye. For this action he was awarded the Victoria Cross.

Features PID Depth Control and Torpedoes, estimated submerged range 15 km at 4-5 knots

-->To Start Engine

Enter through Conning Tower and head aft to the left side of main engine

Switch on Fuel Pump, then press Starter.

The engine will keep batteries charged at full speed, reduce engine throttle for better fuel economy at lower speeds.

I’m afraid if you dive with diesel running you can’t restart it, not sure why. (I’ve tried different intake designs to allow water to flow out of exhaust when surfaced but nothing worked)

-->Helm

Use Motor throttle to control Electric Motor

Heading Hold on the Left Panel holds course and activates Bridge Controls.

Interior Lights on Right Panel

-->To Submerge

Always Flood Main Ballast Tanks Completely

If you’ve burnt enough Diesel you will have to fill aft trim tank and fuel compensating tank partially/fully to keep boat in level trim.

Use Central trim tank to get neutral buoyancy

Toggle Maintain Set depth for the diving planes to keep you level and at set depth (9 is periscope depth, you may need to set 10 for the boat to level at 9 etc)

Once you’ve got the hang of it the Boat handles really well diving and underwater.

Recommend 3-4.5 knots underwater for best battery life

-->Torpedoes

4 – Open Cover

5&6 – Fire Left and Right Tubes

-->To exit the conning tower, you may need to ‘Teleport’ to the external ladder as the character refuses to step over the top ledge

I’m using this great heading Microcontroller - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1812041566

nvm they only stop working if you hold filling them for too long. they do pump out eventually

Fluid meter might work, but you would have to inverse its reading as the microcontroller is designed to deal with the negative value from an altitude sensor

Also make sure the forward and aft diving planes are in the same orientation as they are with this sub i.e the positive and negative arrows are pointing in the correct direction

Looks like you've connected it to a fluid meter instead of an altitude sensor

For some reason the depth hold doesnt level it off, and just keeps diving
