Tribal Psycast

Description
This mod will split evolution trees for traditional shamanic tribal people and tech-related royal empire.

Royal titles will only give royal permits and access to the imperial trade, but not the psychic abilities or psy-links.
Empire is only scientific faction and hate everything supernatural.

Tribal people will practice shamanism and have an unique access to the psychic abilities and psy-links with rare Anima Trees.

-Removed meditation focuses from most traits, except for pyromaniacs.
-Removed Psychic Amplifier from the game, replaced with imperial Psychic Disabler which will block any human-like senses from people making them a true tech-soldiers.
The only way now to have psy-link is linking to anima-tree with tribal origin.
-Removed concentration gain from medidation without drug high. Now you will have your tribal pawn take some drugs to restore concentration.
-Added new rare trait "Medium" that let regular pawn meditate with anima tree and have a psy-link.
-Removed psychic properties from high-tech imperial armors, removed psychic apparel from imperial quest rewards and stock.

Mod requires Royalty to be installed.

This mod is safe to add to the existing save, however the existing psy-links on titled pawns will stay.

Other mod compatibilities

Royalty Tweaks - Should be compatible with this mod.

Powerful Psycast AI - Also should be compatible.

Build near anima trees - "Tribal Psycast" also reduces anima tree build restriction range a bit. Depending of mod load order it's range will be changed more or less.

Faction to Empires (Continued) - Factions should be safe to load.

Medieval royalty - Also should be compatible.

Disclaimer

This mod does not change much on the game mechanics, however please be aware of some buggy behavior or broken stuff.

can confirm, it sets every meditation focus gain to 0 if used with VPE

Well actually this mod doesnt conflict with VPE. Though i think they are not matching each other since VPE adds a lot of archotech psycasts, focuses and other technic-based psy features which is not fit the "tribal Psycasts" theme.

Actually VPE changes vanilla psycasts almost completely and therefore i dont think Tribal Psycasts should be used there.

What features from TP would you like to see along with VPE? I'd probably can simplify Tribal Psycast mod and leave just few things in it like Drugs meditation bonuses or some tribal benefits for psycasters.

he should get one once you grow enough grass and link to the tree, just like vanilla does

how can you get psycasts with this mod im not sure how to my tribal linked to a tree but didnt get a psycast ability.

Let me see. It must be incompatibility with newer version of rimworld since it now has option to choose the main menu background.

Makes sense. It doesn't seem to do it anymore after leaving the main menu so I've been ignoring it. I just *hate* having red in my logs.
