Overview
Adds an extra layer of immersion to RimWorld by implementing different types of body clocks for animals - foxes for instance will actually sleep through the day and roam during the night just like real life!

There are now three types of circadian rhythms implemented in RimWorld:

Diurnal - Animals are awake during the day and sleep through the night. This is the default vanilla behaviour.

Nocturnal - Animals are awake during the night and sleep through the day. This matches a night owl's sleeping schedule.

Crepuscular - Animals are awake during mornings and evenings, and rest through the peak of day and the dead of night.

You can see what body clock type an animal has by viewing their info card.

Powered by the Harmony Patch Library.

Compatibility
Mods:
Fully functional with all Vanilla Animals Expanded mods.

Mod-added animals that aren't patched to utilise this mod will all be diurnal - please see the 'Links' section for a guide on patching animals.

Saves:
This can safely be added to and removed from ongoing savegames.

Credits
KalkiKrosah for the idea
Brrainz for his tireless work on the Harmony Patch Library
Marnador for their fantastic RimWorld-style font

Hi Mile. Is this the mod that implements [NocturnalAnimals.ExtendedRaceProperties]?

If so, there's a number of animal mods that are on 1.6 trying to reference this (non-existent) function as this mod isn't updated to 1.6 yet. If you have the ability to prioritize this mod's update? Thanks!

@Reverie RimSort community rules says this should go above VE Framework anyway. 🤷

@Mr_FoxCride Please post the link to the mod you want to request in the mod-requests channel of the Discord server as this saves me a lot of admin-time.

I had the same issue, but after a few minutes of googling I set circadian clocks for all animals manually. Did you know that hippos are nocturnal?

I have the same problem as @-=JkJkLoL=- tk421storm
-=JkJkLoL=- tk421storm 4 Mar, 2024 @ 1:45pm
alas I am also experiencing a list full of every animal set to "diurnal", and the "reset" command does not reset them. assuming the "reset" button should set some animals to nocturnal?

I'll chime in to say I came here for the Diurnal-No-Reset issue as well (also using VE mods).

I put it above VE:F, pressed reset, then re-sorted with RimPy again and the settings seem to have stayed. So that's a workaround that probably won't have negative consequences ^^'

Biomes core indeed has this mod on the primary backround setting,
Yet all is on default.

since biomes core has it on, and you say VE has it too,
i wonder if the mod is just basically in the backround without any work to it.
