Description
Burn the candle at both ends. There's science to be done.

A challenging conversion/propulsion duo chamber. I'm curious how people find this one. Any feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

Changelog

10/29: Thanks to Deathwish for his stream where he managed to, if not break reality, than at least give it a bit of a hangover. He also helped locate an unintended solution dual portals on the lift should no longer get conversion gel on the opposite wall The chamber should be 100% exploit proof now!

10/29: In my hubris I declared the chamber 100% bug proof. Thanks to jgualtney and sheepdog for making it... uh, 110% exploit proof!

10/30 - 10/31: The specter of an old exploit reemerged, thanks to PeterLucas and crhoaviet6 for helping to fix!

10/31: Added some QoL changes so that players will spend less time acquainted with the deadly acid. Thanks to everyone who playtested!

12/10: Made some aesthetic fixes for clarity purposes, adjusted propulsion gel dropper to get a better runway spread.

An entertaining chamber! Thanks for creating.

Great puzzle, thumbs up. I got to the point described in crhoaviet6's spoiler in a reasonable time, then spent too long trying to think of the next move and even longer prep'ing for the exit move xD

@crhoaviet6: Yup! Nailed the solution. In my imagined difficulty curve, this would probably be further back than it is now. I'm currently trying to make more tests to fill the backstop. One of the benefits of working from home is I've got more time on my hands.

Aw thanks! Glad you like the visual gloss on things. Bee2 is doing a lot of the heavy lifting, but I've picked up some techniques on how to visually structure and present test chambers.

I think this is the hardest of your Shoot for the Moon maps. Does the solution involve getting both cubes into the orange gel room, then sacrificing the non-companion cube?

I continue to be amazed by your BEE2 wizardry. This could almost be mistaken for a Hammer map.

@crhoaviet6: Ah thanks for finding that one, this chamber must be cursed or something, with the amount of post-publishing fixes its needed. Just updating it. I'll add your name to the changelog. It should be fully exploit free now.

@PeterLucas: Haha, no worries. Working on editing a walkthrough if you want to give it a shot sometime again.

I think I found an exploit. I placed a portal below the orange gel dispenser by shooting through the square hole. It was barely doable, which makes me think that it wasn't intended.

Oh my! This means I don't know how to solve your puzzle lol

Oh yeah, that makes sense. I thought I fixed that. Didn't realize you could switch the portal orientation on the lift. Well done for finding that! Should be fixed in this update, I'll add your contribution to the changelog.

SPOILER To answer your question, I used the portal bump trick to trigger a second portal on the piston platform.

@Aneonen: Thanks for playing! Yup that's intended move. I try to incorporate triggers into my chambers to keep players from having to repeat steps. Oddly fun to get into the quality of life stuff nailed down.

@sheepdog: Oh, excellent. Just taking a look now!

@PeterLucas: Hey thanks for playing through! Yeah this one was a bit harder than my usual tests.
I'm curious though, where did you portal bump? You might have found an unintended solution.
