An entertaining chamber! Thanks for creating.

Great puzzle, thumbs up. I got to the point described in crhoaviet6's spoiler in a reasonable time, then spent too long trying to think of the next move and even longer prep'ing for the exit move xD
levitatingspleen  [author] 3 Nov, 2020 @ 2:57pm
@crhoaviet6: Yup! Nailed the solution. In my imagined difficulty curve, this would probably be further back than it is now. I'm currently trying to make more tests to fill the backstop. One of the benefits of working from home is I've got more time on my hands.

Aw thanks! Glad you like the visual gloss on things. Bee2 is doing a lot of the heavy lifting, but I've picked up some techniques on how to visually structure and present test chambers.

I think this is the hardest of your Shoot for the Moon maps. Does the solution involve getting both cubes into the orange gel room, then sacrificing the non-companion cube?

I continue to be amazed by your BEE2 wizardry. This could almost be mistaken for a Hammer map.

@crhoaviet6: Ah thanks for finding that one, this chamber must be cursed or something, with the amount of post-publishing fixes its needed. Just updating it. I'll add your name to the changelog. It should be fully exploit free now.

@PeterLucas: Haha, no worries. Working on editing a walkthrough if you want to give it a shot sometime again.
crhoaviet6 31 Oct, 2020 @ 12:26pm
I think I found an exploit. I placed a portal below the orange gel dispenser by shooting through the square hole. It was barely doable, which makes me think that it wasn't intended.
PeterLucas 30 Oct, 2020 @ 8:40am
Oh my! This means I don't know how to solve your puzzle lol
levitatingspleen  [author] 30 Oct, 2020 @ 8:17am
Oh yeah, that makes sense. I thought I fixed that. Didn't realize you could switch the portal orientation on the lift. Well done for finding that! Should be fixed in this update, I'll add your contribution to the changelog.

SPOILER To answer your question, I used the portal bump trick to trigger a second portal on the piston platform.
levitatingspleen  [author] 30 Oct, 2020 @ 4:23am
@Aneonen: Thanks for playing! Yup that's intended move. I try to incorporate triggers into my chambers to keep players from having to repeat steps. Oddly fun to get into the quality of life stuff nailed down.

@sheepdog: Oh, excellent. Just taking a look now!

@PeterLucas: Hey thanks for playing through! Yeah this one was a bit harder than my usual tests.
I'm curious though, where did you portal bump? You might have found an unintended solution.
PeterLucas 29 Oct, 2020 @ 7:08pm
Excellent level! Took me a while, good job!

The portal bumping move is a bit tedious. I had lots of trouble making my second portal appear for some reason.

here is my blind playthrough and attempt at breaking it https://youtu.be/fMeB7Pb3oEQ
Aneonen 29 Oct, 2020 @ 1:18pm
Nice puzzle! I'm assuming the clever propulsion-surface-null-portal move was intended for getting a cube on the conversion gel button. The triggers are a quality addition as usual.
levitatingspleen  [author] 29 Oct, 2020 @ 12:14pm
Ohh, I getcha. The ceiling portable surface is an anti-trapping/convenience mechanism, it's there to just expedite going from point A to B. I appreciate you finding the unintended though, I'll add your contribution to the changelog.

Oh wait nvm I just looked at jgaultneys comment, the unintended path I found is old news. But my path is still slightly unintended because I never used the portalable surface on the ceiling. However, doing so unnecessary and the set up for it uses the same steps for the ending.
levitatingspleen  [author] 29 Oct, 2020 @ 12:08pm
@sheepdog: Thanks man! I'll keep my eyes peeled for the vid. I'm genuinely curious what unintended path you took, I'll probably fix myself up a stiff drink in the meantime and get ready for another round of editing

awesome test! I'm uploading a blind playthrough, and a unintended path in your most recent update. It's a long video so it will take a while. I'll link it when its done uploading.
levitatingspleen  [author] 29 Oct, 2020 @ 11:21am
Ooh, I see what you did. Always those stray bits of portable surface. Let me tidy that up real quick.
jgaultney 29 Oct, 2020 @ 11:08am
Getting a cube on the c-gel button is where I think I did an unintended.
With one cube on the button next to the small room with the c-gel button,
and the other cube on the button in the orange gel room, I then went to
the c-gel dropper button and fired a portal thru that port hole onto a wall
panel below the funnel
. I could just barely see the edge of that panel. :)
I then portaled out of the c-gel button room over to beneath the funnel.
From there, I jumped across the gap to the central area and went into
the orange gel area, moved a portal to a panel there and took that cube
thru the portals onto the c-gel button.
levitatingspleen  [author] 29 Oct, 2020 @ 10:36am
@jgaultney: Hey! It's always a pleasure to see one of your comments. And that does look like the intended solution! I figured after a challenging bit of testing the end section should involve some freeform painting. In regards to getting the cube onto the c-gel button, did you use the floor portable surface in the orange gel room?
jgaultney 29 Oct, 2020 @ 10:24am
A challenging, tricky, and fun chamber. I got both cubes fairly easily it took time and
work to get the gels where I needed them. :) With converstion gel, it's hard to tell if
everything is intended. The following screenshot shows my final state to reach the
exit but a video showing how I got the gel where I did would be too large/big for
me to upload. Screenshot

@Deathwish808: Oh hey! Thanks for giving it playthrough. I'll give the stream archive a look. I know the feeling, haha it's 3am where I'm at.
DeathWish808 29 Oct, 2020 @ 12:47am
I played this on stream and you can check it out on my youtube channel or on my twitch channel. I'll leave a link when I'm done streaming. Good map, but I should've played it when I had some sleep. LOL.... This comment is being left as I am streaming. Cheers!
