Zombies

Description
This mod adds Barbarian Zombie Units to Civilization VI.

Zombie Units will start spawning from the Atomic Era onwards.

There is a high likelihood that Zombie Units will capture units they defeat as new Zombie units.

Requirements:
Either or both Rise & Fall or Gathering Storm Expansions
Windows PC - doesn't work on Mac

on the same concept it'd be fun if u saw barbarian kaijus (that doesn't destroy cities when atackin it) that would have the same power as a death mech spawn rarely in the world in any era

Mr. Noodle the zombie models were included in the Red Death scenario from the October 2020 update, moreover the Zombies Defense mode includes things such as the faith mechanic to control or repel zombies, and new defenses such as the wooden and modern barricades. Other than the zombies. Considering Firaxis created the assets and the fact that nobody owns the idea of a "zombie defense mode" Firaxis' own mode is fair game.

Wow. Firaxis or whoever mat have actually lifted this(?) zombie mod, messed with it, and added it to the game. This was posted oct. 2020 while their portugal pack dropped- which included the zombie mode- in march of 2021.
The zombie mode is... okay? but highly unrefined and can be blatantly unfair. Not what you would expect from an official release, but par for the course for Firaxis. I was looking for a "better zombies" mod to tweak the settings and found this. The similarities are uncanny.

@Red-Eyed thanks i'd definitely want to do that if grabbing this.

this came out before the zombie mode dlc? the models look really similar. i dont need the dlc to use this?

To make it also feel like a horde, edit the name of the "zombie" to "zombie Horde"
-File is located on Data folder ( Zombie_Units.xml using notepad++)
-edit name and description from "zombie" to "Zombie Horde"

For people who wants to make the zombie look like a real horde, do the following:
-Open the files ( SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\2271162955 )
-Go to artdef folder and edit unit.artdef with notepad++
-Look for UNIT_ZOMBIE then scroll up
-Change the value of scale from 1 to 0.7 (RED style) and amount from 4 to 12
-save. that's it. they'll look smaller (compt for RED) and will look like a horde

entry edited should look like this:

I honestly just need a mode that makes zombies stop from spawning after come tech- in cities.
I can't have it always happening: 3 first eras it's fine and fun and then around turn 240+ it becomes an annoying CHURN.
