How We Got Here

The plan to contain the infection was to quarantine the city from the rest of the world. The military's ineptitude wasn't taken into account. Although any Infected were destroyed on sight, weapons and military hardware couldn't wipe them all out. Soon the military plan changed to 'evacuate and save ourselves'. Many people were trapped when the military collapsed the tunnel on their withdrawal, leaving survivors to huddle together for survival. Rumour has it that after the withdrawal a nuke was seen being dropped on Chernnorus. One can only assume that didn't go to plan either...

Map features
This map was designed in the Map Editor to be vehicle friendly for the most part. Drive back and forth across the map and enjoy the scenery. Combat freight air drops stuffed with loot can occasionally be found in out the way places, often above ground level. Don't forget the parkour abilities of your character to get to those seemingly impossible loot spawns.

Yes, some of the names may have a familiar ring to them. It is my homage to the most exciting PC gaming I've ever experienced and the days of the Mod from way back in 2012. ;)

**Due to a reported game bug that allows AI to spawn under raised terrain, I recommend you only build a base at ground level.**

**An area to the north of the map shows up on the mini-map as coloured lines. This is a known bug in workshop maps.**
