Additional Kill Counters - v0.8.0

Description
Additional Kill Counters (AKC)

The Additional Kill Counters mod adds three additional counters to an in-game window which are able to track kills that the game wouldn't in vanilla (i.e. fire, falling, double-kills).

Designed for Single Player, it's been tested on Build 41. If you're playing on IWBUMS, you'll want the version of the mod found at this link, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2451245497 .

Features

You can restore / hide the AKC window using a keybind. By default this is bound to right-control, but you can remap it in the in-game settings.

The window is pinnable too, so you can keep it open to watch those counters track in real-time.

Kill Counter Descriptions

  • Total - The sum of Weapons + Other
  • Weapons - Anything tracked by the vanilla game
  • Other - Kills not tracked by vanilla (i.e. fire, falling, double-kills)

Known Issues

  • Occasionally, the game fails to register an event correctly, which means there's no event to pass to the counter for it to update. However, the mod has checks in place to periodically update the counters to catch those that have been missed which run every in-game hour. You may see numbers occasionally jump as a result of this.

Never mind I just read your code on github looks like you are getting counters from events in the game not reading the info from players.db. Thanks anyway was interesting to read the work

Hi mate I've really been wanting to learn how to parse the data field in players.db. Did some googling and this mod came up. Would you be up for pointing me in the right direction?

Yep, as it says in the description. If you're looking for something that'll run on the Build 41 Beta (or IWBUMS) you'll want the other version.

That’ll be why. Zombies killed by vehicles don’t seem to be triggering a Lua event at the moment.

So it’s not a bug with the mod I don’t think, it’s a bug with the game.

There’s a separate mod for on the beta (see description above) as this one leads to fire kills being counted twice (again because of changes or bugs in IWBUMS).

Hey PBL, I noticed this was happening myself last night too.

IIRC, I think it was when I was running on the beta for build 41 (IWBUMS).

Can you confirm which version of the game you’re on for me?

Nice mod, need this for a while.
But for some reason the car kills on 41 don't count.
I also tested with all other mods off so its not a mod on mod problem.

Updated to v0.8.0 to add a keybind for hiding / restoring the AKC window. It binds to right-control by default.
