Form your Subjects into new Nations (1.31)

Description
This mod allows you to reform your subjects into new nations.

You vassalized an Irish minor and want to have Ireland as a march?
You don't want to release your Vassal just so they can form a country?
You conquered the holy land, but don't want to give it to an independent Jerusalem?

Just take the decision and reform your vassal yourself!

This mod is not Ironman compatible and likely won't work as intended with mods that change the map (like Extended Timeline or Beyond Typus)

Features:
  • Adds a decision for every non-colonial formable country in the game that can be taken to reform your subjects
  • If you have more than one subject that can be reformed, you can choose which one to reform
  • Also works if you own the provinces needed to reform your subject
  • Config file with different options:
    • Enable/Disable ceding claimed provinces to reformed subject
    • Enable/Disable liberty desire requirement
    • Enable/Disable reforming personal unions
    • Enable/Disable forming large empires

Version 1.1.6:
  • Made tooltips for province ceding more concise
  • Updated German localisation

From what I recall it's sort of functional, it works with countries that have not been changed/modified since it was last updated.

It's not *too* hard to get it to work yourself if you're able to get a beginner's understanding of EU4 modding since it's just editing text documents, as myself and I believe another person in the comments have done, but it can be a little funky at times. I've had to ask quite a few questions

I just realized that the public version of the mod is a little different to my local one. You need to add your subject type with is_subject_of_type = your_subject_type instead of something like is_vassal. As for not seeing formables for PUs, that is disabled by default, so only vassals can be reformed. You can change it with the mod's config decision though

I may just be putting the name in improperly, but I'm trying to just copy and paste the subject type's name from my folder using N+, but at the same time I've tried making it so it counts as a Vassal and another attempt as a March (It normally counts as a PU) to no avail? Weirdly though if I use a vassalize command on the countries I have under my PU I am able to see all of their formables, which shouldn't make a difference if the game is registering it properly?

@kmart
I used a scripted trigger to check for subject types. Look for the is_fvn_subject trigger in fvn/common/scripted_triggers/VassalNation.txt. You can add new subject types there

Does anybody know how to make it so this mod is able to register other subject types? I'm trying to add the subject type I made so that I can make formables from it but it doesn't seem to do anything
