Description
IMPORTANT! Due to a creative shift, my latest update was too different to make an update cleanly and not affect your campaigns/subs. For this reason, and a few other personal ones, THIS VERSION IS NOW UNLISTED AND OUTDATED. You can find the latest update here

I decided to go full on board and even make a little story for the suit and all, if you are only interested on the details, search for the TL;DR section. Oh and also, this is NOT a replacer.

Fear not the creatures of the abyss, for they also can bleed

Suit turn-in report and specifications

It's done, finally after all this countless time in this planet I've made it: A suit capable of making the user Europa-Compatible for the military and security.. Against my better judgement I've named it the A.B.Y.S.S.A.L. Like you wanted, but I refuse to name it by it's full name because 'Abyssal Badass Yearning Scallywag Shirk' is just stupid... Stupid bet.

The part you are not going to like... it's expensive to make, VERY expensive. But what did you expect? It's a diving suit which doesn't hinder the user and keeps them focused, not to mention all the damn damage resistances improvements. All those resources aren't free, but it's worth every mark, I swear to the abyss it is.
I won't bother you with the 'technical' details, I know you are all 'muscle' and 'bullets for brains', and you don't like my 'technical rambling' or my 'Longer than an Endworm bullsh!t science talk'. So I made a graph even a toddler could understand with all the important for the 'railgun coats' you are.

The short version is this: The suit behaves like a regular diving suit, but it requires a custom made energy source, named 'Battery rods' they look like sub fuel, but don't actually consume the liquid inside due to some part- I'm doing it again aren't I? Look they are practically infinite as long as you recharge them at a charging port. There are multiple variations, see the chart for details.

The suit has an integrated Wrist light., can be used regularly when you have oxygen (in other words, you don't have to consume oxygen tanks if you are in an oxygenated environment... That means you don't need oxygen in subs and cities. ) and will only consume energy when oxygen is administrated. And speaking of oxygen, the prototype tests were successful; 4/5 suits DIDN'T spontaneously explode, and the one it did was due to the dumbass soldier inserting welder fuel into it. I fixed the issue YOU CANNOT PUT WELDER FUEL INTO IT. Why the actual fnck we made these two containers so similar in the first place!?! It took me TWO WEEKS to make the suit be able to detect it without having to ask for additional budget. In the topic of limitations putting multiple rods is redundant doesn't make you faster, likewise putting multiple oxygen is redundant and a waste of air. Please make your soldiers repeat that 100 times on a board. They are dumber than dirt, where did you get them?

The suit is meant to arrive at Bordersea Military Outpost by Thursday, to officer Itchzr Ltqogx .

It's the most advanced piece of technology ever made by us, no alien ya-di-ri-du used. 100% human. Made by me. Suck it Paul.

Detailed table attached below this report.

PD: This doesn't go public right?
PD 2: Don't put any of your assistants in charge of crafting one of these, they take around one minute to make for an experienced user, but for them? I won't be surprised if it takes them an hour.
PD 3: I forgot to mention even though it's technically military tech I took my right under coalition rule number 15 of patents to make my blueprints available to any seafarer in range of one of our cities/outposts. If they can build it, they deserve to have it. The abyss' nightmares don't forsake anyone, there is no reason for us to not do the same to them.

Since you made our tech public, I've made your messages public.
Paul, and every other 'toddler railgun coat' and 'bullets for brains', say hi.

TL;DR
  • 3 new deep-dive suits for combat, expensive but grant bonuses when powered. They also feature a wrist light. You CAN use these suits on an oxygenated environment without asphyxiating. They always grant pressure resistance.
  • 3 new batteries, usable only for these suits. expensive as well and rechargeable at a charging port.
  • 3 new helmet containers. Specifically made for warsuit helms, though oxygen masks also fit in them.
  • All craftable and purchasable but, you guessed it, expensive.
  • Needs high level to craft, and takes time. An experienced mechanic will build it in a minute, an assistant (low skill in general) will take them an hour.
  • Details are on the table above
Possible and known issues
  • Overpowered maybe? I didn't really put it to the test, but in the few tests I've made they were fun to use. Which was my goal. They grant pressure resistance but I don't think you can enter the abyss with these things. Also never tested them in real combat, didn't have time. Just shot my character until the values seemed right.
  • NextGen is NOT considered a diving suit for the AI. This is by design. Use the full set version if you want them to wear it outside the sub
  • If you are getting an 'infinite' download when joining a server, unsub from the mod and try to join the server again, it'll automatically sub you with no issue.

PLEASE GIVE ME A HEADS UP IF THE UPDATE MESSED UP SOMETHING. sorry for the delay AND HAVE FUN!

Yup, no worries about that. It's even already done. I'm just ironing few bits here and there

Will you be posting the new mod in the description?

Good news and bad news:
Good news: The new re-design update should come either later today or early tomorrow
Bad news: It's going to be on a new mod and this one will be unlisted.

It took me near 3 days to make this decision, there is a lot that changed and it pretty much became incompatible with the original concept. Not everything changed, battery rods are still a thing, and it's still a two piece outfit with multiple colors, but just enough so that it can basically be a new mod itself and brick mods/subs that utilizes the current version. I didn't like either of my options so I had to take the one that made the most sense. This will come as very annoying for some and I understand. The reason as why this will be unlisted instead of removed when the next one comes is so that mods/subs that uses this mod won't become unstable

@Draugar. Seems to be a bug with the new pressure system. Oh well, glad you could figure out a work around :captainsmooth:
Draugar 7 May, 2021 @ 6:04am
Yes, this problem apparently exists with all diving suits. So take off your suit before you finish the round
Draugar 7 May, 2021 @ 5:24am
And ... the suit in the next round just fixed itself. Maybe we should just take it off before starting a new round...
Draugar 7 May, 2021 @ 5:05am
Hello, Author. I have a new one here... Very, SOOOOO strange problem. When you finish a round in this suit, then at the beginning of the next round, even if you are wearing clothes that protect you from pressure, the pressure starts to kill you. Maybe this is the problem of all the suits in the game, that at the beginning of a new round they stop protecting against pressure, but I noticed so far on this suit
