WOOHOOO
Yak'All  [author] 7 May, 2021 @ 5:30pm
Yup, no worries about that. It's even already done. I'm just ironing few bits here and there
Thing 2 7 May, 2021 @ 5:24pm
Will you be posting the new mod in the description?
Yak'All  [author] 7 May, 2021 @ 7:17am
Good news and bad news:
Good news: The new re-design update should come either later today or early tomorrow
Bad news: It's going to be on a new mod and this one will be unlisted.

It took me near 3 days to make this decision, there is a lot that changed and it pretty much became incompatible with the original concept. Not everything changed, battery rods are still a thing, and it's still a two piece outfit with multiple colors, but just enough so that it can basically be a new mod itself and brick mods/subs that utilizes the current version. I didn't like either of my options so I had to take the one that made the most sense. This will come as very annoying for some and I understand. The reason as why this will be unlisted instead of removed when the next one comes is so that mods/subs that uses this mod won't become unstable
Yak'All  [author] 7 May, 2021 @ 7:12am
@Draugar. Seems to be a bug with the new pressure system. Oh well, glad you could figure out a work around :captainsmooth:
Draugar 7 May, 2021 @ 6:04am
Yes, this problem apparently exists with all diving suits. So take off your suit before you finish the round
Draugar 7 May, 2021 @ 5:24am
And ... the suit in the next round just fixed itself. Maybe we should just take it off before starting a new round...
Draugar 7 May, 2021 @ 5:05am
Hello, Author. I have a new one here... Very, SOOOOO strange problem. When you finish a round in this suit, then at the beginning of the next round, even if you are wearing clothes that protect you from pressure, the pressure starts to kill you. Maybe this is the problem of all the suits in the game, that at the beginning of a new round they stop protecting against pressure, but I noticed so far on this suit
Thing 2 5 May, 2021 @ 5:45pm
You got this m8 I am awaiting your success XD
Yak'All  [author] 3 May, 2021 @ 1:59pm
I'm not really good with dead lines am I? I'm still working on the re-balance, just taking a bit longer:steamsad:
Yak'All  [author] 28 Apr, 2021 @ 11:37am
@Thanos Kirby Partially correct. The 'next gen suit' should be protecting you correctly (if it isn't please let me know) while the full suit version (old/legacy one) wasn't updated. (I completely forgot about them when I did the patch).
But not to worry, I have a planned balance update coming along some time this week, I was thinking on releasing it today but I totally overestimated how fast I can work
Thanos Kirby 28 Apr, 2021 @ 11:20am
hello! the abyss update came out, and the Abyss suits no longer protect you from pressure!
Yak'All  [author] 24 Apr, 2021 @ 11:23am
Yup. That's the update that's coming along next week. And I'm happy I waited for this latest barotrauma update, as it introduced new combat/abyss suits. Making it a perfect fit to fiddle around with the values and crafting materials
Thing 2 24 Apr, 2021 @ 10:32am
Still doing the re-balancing the suits?
Yak'All  [author] 23 Apr, 2021 @ 4:35pm
Yikes yeah I think I know whats happening. All vanilla pressure resistance values are completely different now. I'm going to have to test how it works and fix it with the next planned update (if I don't procrastinate like a dumb dumb, it should be around Wednesday)
Yak'All  [author] 23 Apr, 2021 @ 4:27pm
@ledgemainer I think now I need to increase the values, I don't think it removed it. Did a quick check and the regular diving suit protects for 4000. Mk I protects for 100 while all next gen protect for 2500. Huh Those values are definitely going to need a huge buff if you were going to use them deep
The Horse 23 Apr, 2021 @ 4:23pm
@ledgermainer Just uninstall all the mods that mess with the diving suits or add others except for the mods by yak
ledgermainer 23 Apr, 2021 @ 3:12pm
the abyss update seems to have removed the pressure resistance from the full suits mk.1 and mk.2 didn't check mk.3 but the two piece mask and suit set works
Yak'All  [author] 23 Apr, 2021 @ 10:27am
Huh, there is an official abyss suit made by Fakefish. I'm happy I waited for this update before doing one for my mods. Also this is not going to be confusing at all when people say "abyss suit":captainclown:
Yak'All  [author] 23 Apr, 2021 @ 7:09am
@Demonicpain10It is intended to not offer protection when not worn together. And it shouldn't drain power as it just 'pressurizes' when they are stuck together. I will soon make it so there is a more immersive way to drain power instead, but that patch is still a few days ahead
@MG/Zoltan Barotrauma multiplayer is odd when it comes to mods, some weird bugs happen to multiple people I can't replicate in SP
Demonicpain10 23 Apr, 2021 @ 3:44am
Is it intended for the full suit (MK1) to not offer protection from pressure (the 'medical' modifier)? Or is it an oversight? As the 'components' (Helmet & Body) seem to be offering protection from pressure when worn together while also NOT drawing power from the battery rod (while in the sub)
MG/Zoltan 22 Apr, 2021 @ 9:05pm
General issue pre item-hashing (ie today's update) was missing mod orders, beyond that it was just weirdness with baro. nothing you could really fix. If your mod order matched you were supposed to be okay. Always works in SP.
Yak'All  [author] 12 Apr, 2021 @ 7:16am
Not a problem. Any bug report is not a waste of time, glad it worked itself out :captainsmooth:
Demonicpain10 9 Apr, 2021 @ 9:01am
Finally got around to testing, it worked on singleplayer so I suppose a friend probably has a messed up file or something after an update since I KNOW that it worked once online and the Titan works online as well. Sorry to take up your time.
Yak'All  [author] 27 Mar, 2021 @ 10:20am
... with mods when it comes to multiplayer.*
Whoops typo
Yak'All  [author] 27 Mar, 2021 @ 10:18am
@Demonicpain10 Not sure what could be causing it. I would first recommend to try to fabricate it in singleplayer. You don't have to go through the entire grind, you can go to the sub editor, choose any sub and add the materials you need. Then just look for the play button to "test" the submarine and craft it through there.
My theory is that it's something to do with multiplayer (maybe). Baro's been behaving really awfully with mods when it comes to mods.
Demonicpain10 27 Mar, 2021 @ 8:48am
I seem to have a problem with creating the body of the Abyss suit mk1 I can't seem to produce it, the building process startsbut immediately stops, I don't know if any mod could interfere with it, but I don't think so since you stated that it is a pretty independent mod. I'm attempting in multiplayer if it helps.
Yak'All  [author] 18 Mar, 2021 @ 6:09am
PS: Also, that bug will probably only work with "legacy" (full suit version). So the more intentional way to play is still encourage for those who want it and leaves that option for others
Yak'All  [author] 18 Mar, 2021 @ 6:07am
Huh, never heard the price was too cheap even though I kind of suspected that myself as I managed to get it within the first runs too . I'll consider upping the price. As for having multiple batteries in, I actually kind of like the trade-off. Have more bonuses in exchange of not breathing in the lack of oxygen. I think I'm going to keep that unintentional lol
Kyrozen 18 Mar, 2021 @ 2:58am
Also, I can put in a thorium battery and a fulgurium battery into the two slots and get the suit bonuses for both batteries. It's cool but not usable in water. The durability of and bonuses of the suits should remain more or less the same. It could provide leverage when modders start putting really nasty mobs. It helped me survive getting dunked by a Mudbouncer more times than I could count.
Kyrozen 18 Mar, 2021 @ 2:58am
This is a very good mod, basically quintessential to any Barotrauma run. I think buying it from a vendor is way too cheap for all of its bonuses. To the point where you can get a Mk.III and a fulgurium battery right off the start if you sell a few things. The price is so cheap, it is way more cost efficient and time efficient to just straight up buy a Mk.III and Fulgurium battery rather than make it yourself. It also invalidates the purpose of owning Mk.I and Mk.II. I'd suggest increasing the buying price or at least restrict it to only appear in military outpost. It should give players the incentives to craft the suit themselves and then upgrade their suit from Mk I to Mk.III over time. It should provide them a sense of progression as they journey deeper into the Moon.
Yak'All  [author] 19 Feb, 2021 @ 7:31pm
@Roxanne Funny enough, I've also had this issue myself with other mods. My guess is baro's automatic download system is busted atm.

A way to fix it? Well since (I think) the problem comes from having the mod in the first place, I've found that un-subing from the mods the server's using, and then trying to join the same server makes the game automatically download them and bypass the issue. This doesn't work all the time but after a few attempts you should be able to join.

TL;DR: Try un-subing from the mod's the server is using and join again. Hope it works!

having infinite download problems with this mod, among some others.. any tips to solve this? a friend is having this issue with ek armory and ek utility. in the same way as i am with this mod.
Yak'All  [author] 5 Feb, 2021 @ 11:41am
@Leonidas It's a separated suit so "Transparent helmets for diving suits" doesn't affect mine, meaning there's no conflict. However, mine has transparent helm as a feature (Except for the full-suit version, which is considered legacy and only left for AI purposes)
Leonidas 5 Feb, 2021 @ 11:27am
Transparent helm compatible?
Yak'All  [author] 2 Feb, 2021 @ 5:46am
Also now there is something similar with oxygen: When outside of water, Mk I and Mk II will drain at very very low rates (Mk III not draining at all). See the change log if you are interested in more details
Yak'All  [author] 2 Feb, 2021 @ 5:45am
It is implemented, but for the full-suit version only. The next gen version consumes energy at a slow, but constant rate. To give some story: That was a result of me not knowing how to separate the rate at which they deplete when both were at the same container (funny enough, now I know better). Next gen doesn't have that problem so it can deplete both at the same time with separated rates.
Yak'All  [author] 16 Jan, 2021 @ 4:14pm
@Des That's not the id. Check item ID's in the discussions tab to know which they are
silverfox123 16 Jan, 2021 @ 3:37pm
Just use sub editor.
Des 16 Jan, 2021 @ 3:36pm
How in the world do I spawn these in with admin commands? Because when I use spawnitem "A.B.Y.S.S WarSuit MK III" cursor it won't spawn in the suit.

Sometimes I forget that even in single player, the pc becomes a bot when switching characters and never factor in the fact there is (probably) always going to be a bot interaction with my mods :steamfacepalm:
Yak'All  [author] 15 Jan, 2021 @ 5:23am
@TotalBlazing This "issue" is planned to get fixed when I update my other mod "Secure diving containers". To summarize what's happening: The next gen helmet is not detected by the AI as a proper oxygen mask, so if they panic and need oxygen they won't know the nextgen works. This is literally fixed by adding the tags "diving, lightdiving", however, I didn't add them at launch because then AI would probably be wearing them at will. The fix? A secure container that requires a specific id_tag the bots don't have. Thus the update for my other mod is required
EmberBlaze 14 Jan, 2021 @ 10:53pm
ok, tried out the nextgen upgrade, and i like it a lot, however, i dont particularly like the chance of my captain switching to a diving mask while eva'd if i have to switch to another crew in my single player save, so i've gone back to the legacy suit. i've found that i can still use the o2 from the helmet, so i've made an extra helmet and am using that as my main o2 source, while the full legacy suit carries the power. the ai will simply switch the tank from the helmet to the suit while eva if i switch to another character.
BLM's Strongest Warrior 13 Jan, 2021 @ 8:24pm
Best part is spending twenty minutes to craft the warmonger suit and a fulgarium power rod and obliterate anything I come across
BLM's Strongest Warrior 13 Jan, 2021 @ 8:23pm
Based mod

Thanks for the information
Yak'All  [author] 13 Jan, 2021 @ 8:23am
Oh also a minor nerf is that: NextGen helmets will be sabotage-able (you can place welding fuel in the slot). No worries there is a 'lore' explanation for it ;)
