Please note that this mod is basically a model mod, due to the nature of how the animations for each weapon is implemented. (Animations are inside the model instead of being a separate file like the Survivors.)

Tired of some of the melee weapons - especially the chainsaw - blocking most of your screen? Don't like seeing the inner-arms of your Survivor when you increase the FOV just so you can see?
Fret not! I have a solution! This moddifies all the melee weapons (except the unused Riot Shield) to be a tad lower than before!

Warning
This will conflict with any melee mod that replaces the v_models due to the animations being included within the models themselves.

In November 1st, 2018, an update was released to the game that disables mods in competitive game modes such as Versus.

In short, "Competitive," servers are basically any game modes that allow the player to take control of the Special Infected. Game modes such as Scavenge, Versus, Realism Versus, and even Versus Survival have mods automatically disabled on Official Servers. Game modes such as Survival still allow mods despite having a competitive community due to the fact that players cannot play as the Special Infected.

You can still bypass the no-mods enforcement by doing the same thing as how installing mods work for the original L4D game. Follow this guide, but for your L4D2 files. You do not need to download Python. Just follow the First Time Setup to get your mod folder working. Then look for the addon itself in your left4dead2/addons/workshop folders and search for 2291201193.vpk. Copy & Paste it into your new mod folder and rename it to pak01_dir.vpk.
