Report a translation problem
The axe always had the camera shake when swinging. The same goes for all the other melee weapons. When it comes to readjusting the view models, I try to keep them consistent along with each other. Moving them out can increase the chances of seeing the inside of the Survivor's arms, especially to those who user higher FOV.
Speaking of FOV, if you find the models too hidden then I recommend increasing the FOV to something like 62 by inputting into the console; cl_viewmodelfovsurvivor 62
Everyone has different preferences. It's impossible for me or anyone to make something everyone would agree with.
