Factory Transporter

Description
This mod is trade AI behavier.
It helps to your transport between many factory/tradewares stations.
If you select many stations, ships will search needs and supplies from them.
Ships are less to be idle.

If you manage your many trader ships, I highly recommend you to use "Civilian Fleets: Mimicry Extension" together.
(ex. 50+ stations and 1000+ ships)
With "Factory Transporter" and "Civilian Fleets: Mimicry Extension", you can mass-transport with a smaller number of fleets, and reduce the effort involved in AI setting of ships.

"Factory Transporter" can not trade with price/profit.
If you want to trade with price/profit, you can use other trade mods together.

Attention
I use "google translate" and etc to translate from Japanese to English. I understand well only Japanese, I understand little English, and I can't understand any other language at all. So I need long time to respond comments, or may not respond it.

I am using this mod to test it myself, but there may still be bugs.

I have made patches for "Civilian Fleets: Mimicry Extension", to create "Factory Transporter" fleet.
This mod include the patches, and set "dependency" tag (optional="true") .
If you want to create "Factory Transporter" fleet, you need "Civilian Fleets: Mimicry Extension".

I tested on "X4:Foundations 4.00" and "Civilian Fleets: Mimicry Extension 5.01".
If you are using other version, this mod (and patches) may not work properly.

Options
  • Source Stations
  • Target Stations

    You select source stations and target stations.

  • Rename Fleet Name

    If checked, "Factory Transporter" fleet name is renamed automatically.

  • Allow Energy Cells
  • Allow Foods and Meds
  • Allow Drugs

    If checked, ships can trade Energy Cells/Foods and Meds/Drugs.

  • Sources to Targets

    If checked, ships transport wares from source stations to target stations.

  • Targets to Sources

    If checked, ships transport wares from target stations to source stations.

  • Invert 2-way Trade

    (This option works when "Sources to Targets" and "Targets to Sources" are checked)
    Ships usually will search needs from target stations first.
    If this option is checked, ships will search needs from source stations first.

  • *1 Sources+Targets
  • *2 Sources Only
  • *3 Targets Only

    Ships basically do not trade between source stations/between target stations.
    But, if these exceptional options are checked, ships can trade between all stations/between source stations/between target stations.
    Priority: "*1 Sources+Targets" > "*2 Sources Only" > "*3 Targets Only" > "Sources to Targets" and "Targets to Sources" (basically)

  • Allow Low Volumes

    If checked, ships ignore cargo volume rate used by the trade.
    (If unchecked, ships do not trade if cargo volume rate less than 50%)

  • Allow Create Trade

    If checked, ships create trade(buy and sell orders) at tradewares(non-products) stations by other products stations.

TIPS
  • Basically trade priority is...

    need resources ware(under 5%)
    need resources ware(under 20%)
    need resources ware(under 50%)
    need resources ware(under 95%)
    need intermediates ware(under 5%)
    need tradewares ware(under 5%)
    need tradewares ware(under 20%)
    need tradewares ware(under 50%)
    need tradewares ware(under 95%)
    need other ware

  • If ships have any wares in cargo when set "Factory Transporter"...

    Ships will search buyer from source stations and target stations.
    If ships find buyer, ships will sell wares to buyer.
    If ships can not find buyer, ships will drop wares.

  • If you remove "Factory Transporter" and load savedata...

    You can probably load savedata without any problems.
    Ships who set "Factory Transporter" reset AI behavior selection.

These are one of the great mods I usually use in game.
I got many inspirations and ideas from these mods and any other mods to make "Factory Transporter", Thank you.

The mod has to be updated to support the now-vanilla script changes for mimic.
Hopefully the author will update or link to github, and someone else can pick it up

Yeah Go, I agree I miss that desperately. It made this whole mod worth it lol. Now this thing is basically usless unless you wana have a Huge unsigned ship tab and assign each one individually.

as "Civilian Fleets: Mimicry Extension" is discontinued mimic the commanders order should work natively. but it doesn't.

Never-mind my global trade rules were stupid (I need to read the restrict vs non-restrict option list better). Seems to be working fine now.:chaos: industry is humming

Is anyone having troubles getting the traders to do anything in 6.20, i might be forgetting something, are we only suppose to click one of the rule boxes or something:lunar2019deadpanpig:?
