Magic in our Veins: Perks V1.2

Description
What the mod does:
Magic in our Veins (MioV) adds many different types of blood perks, each granting a different blood material to the player which can be swapped with a banner within the holy mountain, but the bonus from each perk is still active no matter which actual material you choose.

Please leave a like. Likes and awards seem to be the basis for a mod's "popularity" stat, so I'd suggest leaving a like on all the mods you use a lot. If you have a lot of points I would recommend leaving lower cost awards on the mods you actively use. Higher cost awards do not seem to boost "popularity" much more than lower cost ones.

List of perks that are added:
Perk Name:
Perk Effects:
Acid Blood
Gives acid immunity, but not toxic or poison immunity. It also increases the power of Slimeball and Acid Ball, while also removing their ability to do self damage. You are also given a Slimeball upon taking this perk.
Chaos Blood
Gives you a semi-random blood type from a list of somewhat interesting materials. The perk can be taken again to "reroll" what blood type you get from it. I swear, half my time programming this mod went in to this perk. At least it's fun to have cheese blood.
Cold Blood
Makes you bleed Freezing Liquid, and prevents damage from that material type. Also prevents you from being frozen.
Hastium Blood
You bleed hastium, which is the combination of Acceleratium and Levitatium. Drinking or being soaked in Acceleratium or Hastium makes your projectiles and firerate faster. You also get a flask of Hastium.
Honey Blood
You now bleed honey, and quickly regen health while below 25% hp (or below 25 hp.) This is really meant to be used with Living on the Edge.
Poison Blood
Makes you immune to poison. This one might be a little bit OP to be honest. Stacks really well with Trick Blood Money. Its only weakness is the fact that poison tends to dissipate fairly quickly.
Chaotic Polymorph Blood
Makes you immune to polymorph, but you can't use the blood changing banners, so you get stuck with Chaotic Polymorphine as your blood type. You also bleed three times more of it than normal. To reactivate the banners you must take a different blood perk (as always, you still keep the bonuses from the perk, so you're still polymorph immune after doing this.)
Steel Blood
Your disc projectiles do no self damage to you, and you gain 100% slice immunity. You get a free disc projectile. The slice immunity is a byproduct of the disc projectile immunity, but it's not a bug, it's a feature! There is a known bug where being covered in berserkium may cause omega sawblades to harm you, more testing is required. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.
Earth Blood
You can't be crushed and dig faster.
Whiskey Blood
Whiskey Blood now gives 10 crit and 5 damage only while you are drunk. You also get a flask of whiskey. This perk has been heavily changed. PREVIOUSLY:(Gives you 50% crit chance and -15% accuracy.)

List of blood materials that are unlocked through other perks:
Blood materials cannot be given when taking vanilla perks, so you must use the banner to get these. This is for mod compatibility reasons.
Perk
Material:
More Love
Pheromone
Repelling Cape
Air/Nothing
Kills to Mana
Concentrated mana
Teleportitis
Teleportatium
Melee Immunity
Copper
Explosion Immunity
Unstable Gunpowder
Toxic Immunity
Toxic Sludge
Fire Immunity
Fire
Vampirism
Blood(Normal, starting blood type.)

Isn't there already a mod that does this on the workshop?
kenx00x's Bleed More Liquids And Powders allowed you to change the blood material of the player through perks, but the mod didn't allow you to change between blood types, and didn't make you immune to your blood type's effects. aka no acid resistance for Acid Blood, etc.

Suggested mods:
Use Goki's Things to manage which of these perks you want to enable. You can let Goki's Things disable perks from other mods and the vanilla game by turning on "Manage External Content" in the mod's options page.

"Removable perks" by Horscht, who helped me with many questions I had when making this mod.

I also made The Immunity Compendium, which gives you the option to enable a bunch of immunity perks in case you don't like the blood gimmick.

Special thanks to:
kenx00x, creator of Bleed More Liquids And Powders, who generously allowed me to use all of his mod's files, glad to see there are other Slime Blood lovers in this world.

Goki, who allowed me to use his mod, Goki's Things, as a reference for many features in this mod, and many features yet to come.

Horscht and all the wizards on the modding support section on the Noita discord, who were always there to answer any questions I had.

Viowlet on reddit, who created the Noita style text I used in the thumbnail. I did some custom pixel art over it, but if you ever just want the font here's the link to the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/noita/comments/jp56ub/a_while_ago_i_made_noita_blackletter_this_is_now/

Lastly, feel free to use any parts of this mod you want, but I would really recommend looking through other, simpler mods if you want to understand how to mod something into the game. This one has a decent bit going on and wasn't always that elegantly made. If this mod contains something you can't find in another mod though, feel free to message me, I ain't busy.

I think I'll start writing some ideas for a rebuild, but it could take a while before anything releases.

To be clear, I don't intend to deprecate the mod entirely. If the beta finally releases and breaks stuff I'll try to fix it, and there's a chance I'll add plasma blood while I'm at it because I've already added plasma immunity to the immunity compendium.

Honestly, I feel like any interest limits from people is probably a result of not understanding what the mod is/does off the title, because of Tik-Tok attention spans and not reading the description. Monkey brain sees the word, "Immunity" or some other such indicator and immediately identifies it as a way to avoid whatever bullshit killed them last time. The same monkey-part-of-brain reads, "Magic In Our Veins" and has no idea what it does, and keeps scrollitge workshop. I would imagine a lot of the people that went for the basic immunity mods and didn't give MioV a chance quite possibly have a very lightly modded game, or only cheat-type mods.

Agree with neet-o, this mod just has such a better player experience and execution than generic immunity mods. Please don't abandon it, I specifically use this instead of generic immunity mods lol.

It’s a huge shame this mod might become deprecated, this is probably the best “immunity mod” out there. More blood types is way more interesting than all those bland “XYZ immunity” perks you find elsewhere. Tbh anything that lets me bleed Midas drought while I have Therapeutic Gold on is an S+ tier mod in my book.

I've been thinking about expanding the mod, but there's about a third as much interest in this mod as the immunity mod. I like the idea of adding content more content like what I did with this mod, but I feel like I can't really compete with the other perk mods out there. I also just have other mods I want to work on right now, and the other mod still has issues.

Regardless of what I come up with, this mod is probably going to stay as it is. If I ever work on another MioV project, it'll have its own page.
I like the idea of perks that change the way you build your wands, like how steel blood lets you use sawblades safely, so maybe I'll lean more into that if I do end up making a new mod like this one.

Also, the code for this mod was poorly written, and it's difficult to use at this point.

Are you still working on this? I saw you updated the Immunities mod, but I generally use this one instead since it's a much cooler execution. Would love to see Lava Blood, and the MioV expansion mods you teased.
