If you're using other mods, put mine at the top of the list.
If you're using vehicle mods, 99% of them won't work, support only for original vehicles in the game.
The smoke will always be activated, whether the truck is on or off.
The smoke is applied directly to the exhausts, I use an original feature of the game map, I tried to implement this feature, but I can't cut the smoke with the engine off and I can't change the volume of smoke according to the acceleration of the trucks. Sorry.
I like the smoke the way I created it.

I don't know how to make it react to the wind. The smoke moves as the vehicle moves.
