Description
First off, I am not the original creator of this mod. The original mod ISM Pikeman AA Defense System which was created by FancyFez, was drastically outdated and though somewhat functional the textures did not load at all. What I have done is taken the Pikeman parts from ISM Mega Mod Pack [OUTDATED] which was new enough to be fully functional and display textures correctly, but almost every other weapon in the pack was broken, and rebuilt the stand-alone Pikeman mod with those files.

FancyFez lost the original files. With what they supplied me I cobbled together bits and rewrote the SBC's and folder structure. Without the original model files (which were lost) the models cannot be updated or further repaired so sadly there will be no further updates aside from compatibility (if possilbe).

As I do not have access to the original model files since FancyFez lost the data in a crash, I cannot and have not made any changes to the models. This means that they still do not have build states and will not work with skins. The gun itself is functional, can be colored, feeds ammo correctly and is an all around bad mamba-jamba that still holds up well for light defense as well as looking and sounding very cool. =-Þ

For those of you that miss using this great gun and can put up with the lack of build stages and skinning, it's back and available for use again.


Currently I am working on a replacement for Elsephire's (Alpha 1.4) Block Optimizer which I have done some fixes for here. Once that is done I will start on a new mod to replace the Pikeman with another CIWS style weapon that will be Survival ready with LoD's and Skin support. If you have any ideas/requests for the new mod please let me know in the discussion topic.

I have not had a chance to test it in WF2 but when I am able to I will and I will post the results.

@Wolffebanez: That is odd. I have not seen that myself or had any other reports of it happening. I would try unsubscribing the mod, manually deleting the mod folder for it (folder name: 1635038671) and then resubscribing. Most likely steam did not completely/correctly download the mod.

@HVFD233: There will never be any further changes to the mod, including WC versions. The model files were lost by Fez so they cannot be changed or updated. All I did is correct some issues, update some things in the SCBs and patch the files together from a couple versions of the pre-existing mod made by Fez. Sadly this wonderful weapon can not go any further than it is now. A completely new set of models would have to be constructed, either for vanilla or WC changes. And ontop of that, I am not very familiar with WC coding as it is not the most stable system.

i don't know why but when i add the pikeman into my mod list it won't load at all it says that there is an error i would give more information but i have no clue how to get there sorry

I HERBY DECLARE - that yes I (already gave you - Annastasya) give you a permission to post updated version of my mods. Also I appreciate you taking time to make them work again. To any who is reporting those as stolen, please stop - you want to still use those mods? This person is making them work :)

From what I can tell many of the weapons in the ISM pack have tiny, easy modifications needed to correct their issues, but unfortunately FancyFez no longer has the original model files for them. If it were possible I would try to fix them but alas Lord Klang has forsaken us on this one.

You are very welcome. I was in the same boat as you and decided to cobble this together out of FancyFez's files. (Say that five times fast?) It just made sense to share it with other people that might want to still use this great weapon.

Everything that needs to still be addressed is set in the Model files, not the SBC's and that includes the attachment points. As I have said a few times, I don't have access to the original models so I cannot edit them. This is posted in its "final" state and will not be further modified due to the lack of pre-compiled model files. From here it will have to be a complete re-write as a new mod, new weapon. If you have ideas or requests for the new weapon please post them in the discussion topic.
