Description
Introduction
Modular. Uniform. Roads. Streets. - This is the meaning of MURS. There are two main features in this mod and you have the decision which of them you'd like to use.

Modular roads
Main feature No. 1 is the high number of modular roads. In this case, modular means you can choose roads with 1-9 lanes while the design and the speed limit of each road don't change. The number of lanes is the total number of lanes of a road, so a 9-lane road can be divided into a 9+0-, a 8+1-, a 7+2-, a 6+3- or a 5+4-lane road.

Uniform design
Main feature No. 2 is the uniform design of all roads. This also concerns the base roads that are included in this mod too. Base roads are very similar to the vanilla 2-lane roads and are only available as a wide and a narrow 2-lane road. Their design fits perfectly to the modular roads, but also to the included bridges or entries of depots and street stations.

Roads & Streets
All roads are available in a town and a country version. The town versions feature a lower speed limit, assets, sidewalks and allow buildings next to the street.

History of roads
To create a realistic gameplay, the design and the amount of roads changes by time. The changes are seperated into two groups:

General changes
There are three generations of road design. The first generation can be built until 1899. The second generation is available from 1900 to 1949 and the third generation is available from 1950. Those changes contain:
• Change of road pavements and markings (also on bridges or depot and station entries)
• Change of sidewalks, assets and traffic lights
• Change of speed limits and prices

Other changes
The number of available modular roads and bridges increases by time. Bridges don't have specific speed limits anymore.
• Until 1924, there are only stone bridges and no modular roads
• Since 1925, modular roads with up to 3 lanes and iron bridges are available
• Since 1950, modular roads with up to 6 lanes and suspension bridges are availabale
• Since 1975, modular roads with up to 9 lanes and cement bridges are available

Important information
• Create a backup of your savegame before loading the mod!
• No original files of the game will be replaced, all files only expand the game.
• By default, the game uses the vanilla street access on stations, you need to replace them after building the station.
• To hide all vanilla roads, depot and street entrances, bridges and intersections, install MURS Only!.
• Use Road Toolbox by Enzojz to create parallel roads. I recommend to use the following distances between the roads:
→ 9-lane roads: 4m
→ 8-lane roads: 8m
→ 7-lane roads: 12m
→ 6-lane roads: 16m
→ 5-lane roads: 20m
→ 4-lane roads: 24m
→ 3-lane roads: 28m
→ 2-lane roads: 32m
→ 1-lane roads: 36m

Ihr eine Idee um die Mod zu erweitern indem man die Tramspuren frei auf die Fahrspuren wählen.

Jerry there are mods that can stop AI buildings being built or using assets like street lamps or MadHatter's plot asset.

Thanks for making these for us. I wonder is there a way to prevent AI building connection to the roads I build. I locked and took ownership of the roads but I can't find a way to stop it AI making weird connections my roads while I am trying to keep the traffic flow working.

For some reason the mod crashes when trying to use the tram depot.

I wish there would be something like TMPE for Transport Fever 2, it would really help to create a perfect road network and I'm sure most of us are waiting for this. Did you ever hear about "lane mathematics"? When you're building a 3-lane freeway for example, you may design the right lane as an "exit only" lane, while there are still two lanes going straight.
