Description
NO MODS OR DLCS REQUIRED! This ship does not use any subgrids (hinges/rotors/pistons) and runs only one completely optional script.

Drawng from elements of several prior delayed Coyote Orbital naval programs, the Prowler-class frigate--designated NCT, for Normal Combat Type--is a conventional frigate designed for patrol and rapid response missions. It is fast and flexible, capable of flying well at treatop level, in the upper regions of a planet's gravity well, and in the cold depths of space. Strong gyroscopic power and primarily hydrogen thrusters give it good agility and speed; while most armor is fairly light, critical regions have been reinforced with heavy armor and all missile turrets are equipped with repair systems to keep them operational through even difficult fights.

This version of the ship, Hour of the Wolf, has seen mostly non-combat service on the Skunkworks servers. After a combat loss (facing off alone against several extremely well-armed and fast fighters) it has yet to be replaced, though the CODB is still formulating new plans for the design's future.

Tab 1:
1-Forward camera
2-Fire fixed rocket launchers
3-Open/Close rocket launcher hatches (make sure these are open when you fire)
4-On/Off toggle for turret repair welders
5-On/Off toggle for reverse thrusters (let ship coast forwards while in gravity)
6-Open/Close parachutes
7-Increase thrust override for forwards thrusters
8-Decrease thrust override for forwards thrusters
9-On/Off toggle for antenna

1-Stockpile On/Off toggle for hydrogen tanks
2-Stockpile On/Off toggle for oxygen tanks
3-On/Off toggle for O2/H2 generators
4-Auto/Recharge toggle for ship batteries
5-Autolock On/Off toggle for ship landing gear
6-Lock/Unlock toggle for ship landing gear
7-On/Off toggle for missile turrets

Description:
Unlike other large ships, the NCT was not originally included in Coyote Orbital (COY) future plans. Following the updates to hydrogen and operational difficulties with the large size of the ACT, the hull was built out in its current configuration, nearly three months after the beginning of design work. This meant that the ship fully embraces the lessons learned over that time; it includes a main medical bay plus backup survival kit, more accessible maintenance areas, a tighter interior, and improved turret coverage compared to earlier vessels.

Despite having powerful atmospheric thrusters, the NCT still requires the boost from its upwards hydrogen thrusters to hover on Pertam (and other modded planets that also have thin atmospheres). To slow down on atmospheric entry, it is best to pitch the ship 90 degrees up and use the main forwards thrust to slow it; these thrusters are also important to escape gravity, with the ship leaving atmosphere at the same 90 degree angle like a rocket.

The styling incorporates influences from Taidyr's frigates, especially the ICM Raihani (KMI Siren-class refit and some aspects of the later Ridill-class frigate., with these filtered through into my own personal style. Continuing the tradition establlished by prior Coyote Orbital frigates, Hour of the Wolf is named after an Ulver song--one that describes terrors of a darkness not unlike the black depths of space.

My cutaways were made with the Green Screen skybox and some editing in paint dot net; the awesome logo is courtesy of Paralix (ty soooo much!). Screenshots use Realistic Skybox and Apothilight, plus some FOV tweaking (nvidia ansel i loooove u)

@3nderslime thanks = ) I've actually made other versions already, but for the time being they're for internal faction use only. It's not too hard to modify the ship yourself though...the front two missile turrets can be replaced with custom rotor turrets, for instance.
Other than that, there's not a ton of wiggle room to modify stuff on with this ship, so I'll probably just make more different designs in the future if anything else.
