Flat Connectors (discontinued)

Description
This version will no longer be updated, please replace connectors with:[/b]

These connectors have been rotated so they face the way keen wants it. You will need to remove your old connectors before switching mods do to they use same SubTypeID and are in the wrong orientation.

@SultonMRP Awesome, I’ll check it out when I get home from work.

@SultonMRP Yeah, I’ve had it too. Should be a fairly simple fix (hopefully) and it would make a great mod even better. Can’t tell you how much I hate those connectors sticking out of ships and hangar floors. :steammocking:

ya, i get that issue where blender imports stuff backwards

@SultonMRP I think I may have an issue with SPUG's autodocking script. I've spent a couple of hours now trying to figure out why my ship kept descending below the level of the connector. Finally it occurred to me, "What direction are the connectors facing?" Turns out the flat connector's "Forward" direction is actually the opposite of vanilla connectors. I used BuildInfo to see the orientation and the flat connectors "face" 180 degrees out so SPUG's script keeps taking the ships to the bottom side of the connector. This is hilarious to watch but is there any chance of a fix? I reckon literally just flipping the model 180 degrees in Blender on the X axis would probably do it.

Other than this issue I love these; they make my small ships look so much better and sleeker without taking up a ton of space hiding a fat vanilla connector inside the ship.

First off like the mod one thing I found was you can't use them with a sorter on a small grid miner it throws the stone out of the back of the connector and throws the ship all over the place

SultonMRP - dont see that this was mentioned. I used a LG Flat Connector on top side of a lg conveyor juncton. Tried to land an SG Ship with a bottom regular connector. The lg connector forces the ship into werid angles..forces it to go nose down or up, etc depending on direction the ship is facing. even when coming in flat and straight above.

nope, looks like theres nothing with yellow that it skinnable. It's a limitation of SE, but I did remove the scratches so more a newer look.

ya I think the scratches are a overlay textures or something, ill fix it in a moment

Next time you update the mod, can I suggest using a different material for the yellow parts? It's got scratches and scuffs all over it from the default armor skin, and they can't be reskinned like the other parts. If you look at the vanilla connector the yellow bits are always clean and intact.
