@SultonMRP Awesome, I’ll check it out when I get home from work.
Qarannia 8 Mar, 2021 @ 9:26pm
@SultonMRP Yeah, I’ve had it too. Should be a fairly simple fix (hopefully) and it would make a great mod even better. Can’t tell you how much I hate those connectors sticking out of ships and hangar floors. :steammocking:

Updated with rotated connector

posted it separately so peoples grids won't explode lol

ya, i get that issue where blender imports stuff backwards
Qarannia 7 Mar, 2021 @ 10:47am
@SultonMRP I think I may have an issue with SPUG's autodocking script. I've spent a couple of hours now trying to figure out why my ship kept descending below the level of the connector. Finally it occurred to me, "What direction are the connectors facing?" Turns out the flat connector's "Forward" direction is actually the opposite of vanilla connectors. I used BuildInfo to see the orientation and the flat connectors "face" 180 degrees out so SPUG's script keeps taking the ships to the bottom side of the connector. This is hilarious to watch but is there any chance of a fix? I reckon literally just flipping the model 180 degrees in Blender on the X axis would probably do it.

Other than this issue I love these; they make my small ships look so much better and sleeker without taking up a ton of space hiding a fat vanilla connector inside the ship.

First off like the mod one thing I found was you can't use them with a sorter on a small grid miner it throws the stone out of the back of the connector and throws the ship all over the place

SultonMRP - dont see that this was mentioned. I used a LG Flat Connector on top side of a lg conveyor juncton. Tried to land an SG Ship with a bottom regular connector. The lg connector forces the ship into werid angles..forces it to go nose down or up, etc depending on direction the ship is facing. even when coming in flat and straight above.

nope, looks like theres nothing with yellow that it skinnable. It's a limitation of SE, but I did remove the scratches so more a newer look.
SultonMRP  [author] 7 Jan, 2021 @ 1:47pm
ya I think the scratches are a overlay textures or something, ill fix it in a moment
Netherspark 7 Jan, 2021 @ 12:52pm
Next time you update the mod, can I suggest using a different material for the yellow parts? It's got scratches and scuffs all over it from the default armor skin, and they can't be reskinned like the other parts. If you look at the vanilla connector the yellow bits are always clean and intact.
Jailbroken 6 Jan, 2021 @ 3:00pm
Just tried the new half block sized connector and it works great. Thank you!!!
SultonMRP  [author] 6 Jan, 2021 @ 12:51pm
hrm, just tested it, you might need to unsubscribe from mod, remove files from SE cache and resubscribe. sometimes steam/space engineers don't quite update properly when mod is updated

The flat normal sized one on small ship
SultonMRP  [author] 6 Jan, 2021 @ 10:05am
which connector?
Jowley 6 Jan, 2021 @ 4:22am
This stopped working for me. The connector can't pass through it anymore. Tested a flat connector on small grid large cargo and small grid med cargo attached to a flat connector connected to a large grid normal connector.
SultonMRP  [author] 5 Jan, 2021 @ 8:52pm
Added: New half height connector, should be [PAM] compatible.
SultonMRP  [author] 5 Jan, 2021 @ 7:32pm
I'll add is a new block so people won't have stuff exploding on the connector
SultonMRP  [author] 5 Jan, 2021 @ 7:31pm
hrm, after some testing only way to fix it, is make the large block connector 1/2 height, instead of flat as it is.
Jailbroken 5 Jan, 2021 @ 7:09pm
I like the magnetic pull, though. But I guess we don't have a choice if what you say is true: you can't change the origin of magnetism.
SultonMRP  [author] 5 Jan, 2021 @ 2:34pm
well pam work with the connect mag pull turned off , or does pam turn it back on?
SultonMRP  [author] 5 Jan, 2021 @ 2:27pm
the issue is on keen side, keen uses a bounding box to show space one block is, the issue is the center of the block, the connector's detection point is in the center of the block, and the connector is behind the center of this block, so when the ship want dock to the connector, its detection go past the center of the box, it tries to align it self to the center of the box, so it trys to flip it around

Ok so it works with pam BUT it turns the ship as Jailbroken said
SultonMRP  [author] 5 Jan, 2021 @ 1:07am
let me test something
Jailbroken 4 Jan, 2021 @ 8:40pm
When attempting to dock to these, the magnetism is weird. It pulls my ship in strange directions (like trying to flip it on its side).
SultonMRP  [author] 1 Jan, 2021 @ 3:31pm
keep me updated on PAM compatibility, I want to make sure its compatible
Rude 1 Jan, 2021 @ 2:49pm
Oh ok. Well i'll do more testing tomorrow. Maybe my build is messing with PAM. Don't want you to change stuff because of another script but it's very nice of you
SultonMRP  [author] 1 Jan, 2021 @ 2:43pm
changing the detection box for the connector does not change the size of the block, just makes the light ring on the connector turn yellow from a father distance
Rude 1 Jan, 2021 @ 2:40pm
No i think pam calculate the lenth of the connector so that's why. You could change it but it kinda changes the point of this block for other people no ?
SultonMRP  [author] 1 Jan, 2021 @ 2:06pm
hrm what exactly the issue pam is having, is it light up issue? cause I can adjust the connector "detection" range
Rude 1 Jan, 2021 @ 1:43pm
Tested and it seems to work. But apparently pam is not really getting the size of the connector. But it works on some ships. Other can't dock anymore but i found a build the seems to work.

Thank you sir !
SultonMRP  [author] 1 Jan, 2021 @ 11:23am
ya pam script looks for connector (LB) and connectormedium (SB) for connector subtypeid, they match what the script is looks for and should be compatible with pam now
Rude 1 Jan, 2021 @ 2:03am
Did you found out for PAM ? Can i try it ?
Skallabjorn 31 Dec, 2020 @ 3:42pm
noice!!!
SultonMRP  [author] 31 Dec, 2020 @ 3:10pm
Update: Added Single block 1x1x1 micro connector.
Rude 30 Dec, 2020 @ 3:31pm
Ohhh that's a really good news. Too bad i'm rubish at C#

Thank you very much for doing this.
SultonMRP  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 2:56pm
fixed the naming issue on small connectors, sorry guys, should now make it compatible with scripts, you will need to place new small block connectors
SultonMRP  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 12:53pm
ill do some testing soon
SultonMRP  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 12:53pm
ok, i found the script, ill do some testing
Rude 30 Dec, 2020 @ 12:49pm
No it doesn't register as a connector for pam when i tried
SultonMRP  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 12:23pm
ah Path Auto Miner, is the connector "detection" to shallow, I can make so the connector turns yellow at a farther range
SultonMRP  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 12:14pm
pam?
Rude 30 Dec, 2020 @ 7:10am
Seems to not work with [PAM] such a shame. Using them for other design
g o o s e 29 Dec, 2020 @ 5:37am
loving the font
SunGod 28 Dec, 2020 @ 10:59pm
God bless you for making this. At least one good thing has come out of 2020.

Finally some good hecking mods..
Challenge: Make square shaped connector ports ;)
XEN 26 Dec, 2020 @ 5:56am
Wicked, Id love to do that. I am pretty skilled with max but every time I followed a tut I just got lost.
Granted it was a couple of years ago now.

SultonMRP  [author] 25 Dec, 2020 @ 5:31pm
ya, I just started 3D modeling so this was a must for me to make :3
